He(Mendoza) is a MADMAN, not a POLICEMAN. A policeman's duty is to help and protect people, but what has done! He's NOT FIT to be one at all!!
If the Filipino police knew that they were not trained and equipped enough to do the job why did they not ask for help from the governments of China and Hong Kong? They had a lot of time to do so. Next time many other governments might not wait for permission and send their troops to do the job properly. Your inability invites international disrespect. Think about this! The President should think about resignation to express his impotence and lack of leadership. At least show a bit more sorrow.

This is an absolute joke! A total shame and disgrace to an apparent law enforcement body of Phillipines. Negotiation is absolutely ludicrous given that the gunman was once a law enforcer and should have an understanding of law regardless of whether he was one with integrity. If a man is armed and holding hostages you shoot him dead when the opportunity arise. With a pathetic national security and government of utter incompetence, its no wonder this country is stagnate for so many years.
those policemen looked like a construction crew... when the door was wide open and the gunman was letting the old hostage out, a sharp shooter could've taken him out pretty easily. he was wide open. when they boarded the bus, there was no flashbang what's so ever... they can't even get the door open. what a disgrace!
well, i understand how does it feel, i feel sad too for this incident. it's horrifying, i know that mendoza (the ex cop) has his reasons why he did this but his actions does not justify to do such acts, i think because his pride as a policeman was trashed dats y he did dat but then as wat they say he is good and an outstanding policeman but then i never seen dat during that day. but we should not blame all the filipino's for the act of just one man.
I think the one we should hate is "Benigno Simeon Noynoy Cojuangco Aquino III" or the corrupted government but coincidentally he is the president which represent Phillipine. That, someway, is the reason of hating Phillipines.

@banpreso There must had been a nasty relationship between the gunman and the police/government department officers. They probably didn't want to snipe the gunman. There are some possible reasons: The gunman wanted to tell about the secret scandal of the higher officers and put papers of its proof on the front-window of the bus. The police wanted to get RID of the papers, but didnt act it to be suspicious so they wait till the gunman kill on of the hostage THEN SNIPE HIM DOWN to make an excuse.
im a filipino but i say the police didnt use thier training! they just focust in porns! i think phillipine police needs to train more hard and harder i play runescape!
