I don’t know about y’all but the combat in this game is unbelievably satisfying I just hate how all of the Arkham games are installed in my head and I keep trying to dodge with triangle but I’m sure I can change that habit

I love that this is nothing close to an Arkham clone, instead of countering he dodges and stays on his feet. Also the emphasis on Ariel combat is so awesome. And most of all he feels fast and agile just like in the movies.

Can't wait to finally start playing it when I'm off work.
I really dig their "Spiderman doesn't kill anyone" attitude. Let's just ignore the fact, that almost every major blow, Spidey lands is fatal or at least has major maiming potential - how is hauling a car door at a human adversary not "killing"? Or pulling enemies into walls at a speed of 100 mph? Getting thrown of a rooftop actually sound pretty enjoyable in comparison.
The combat is WAY better than Arkham, I feel like I'm actually controlling Spiderman.

the dodging in this is so fluid and nice...sometimes i dodge just to see him flip....games should just be named artwork at this point at the level these sony developers are releasing games should definitely be artworks...thank you insomniac and Sony.

I had this preordered two years ago, and I picked it up today. It is, for a lack of better words, AMAZING!!!!!
The combat is at least 20x better when you play/experience it vs watching videos of it.

The only problem I have is the limit to how many regular webs you can shoot. Tho it does make the game fair and challenging, it’s kinda a pain when you really need them. But no hate for the game I’m 50% completion already!

The combat is more fun than all the Arkham games, Batman’s combat is great don’t get me wrong and it does its job well but Batman isn’t as acrobatic as spidey, for obvious reasons and to me that kinda puts Spider-Man ps4 on top when it comes to combat, idk it’s just more fun when you’re spidey instead of Batman
They really nailed the combat and I’m so glad I chose to play with the most difficult setting, every movement matters and you discover new moves/combos that you never thought of
But I will say that Batman’s stealth mechanics are way better but that’s pretty much a giving since spidey isn’t really much a stealth hero and Batman is
Idk I just feel like enemy AI are more dumb in Spider-Man ps4 than in Batman
I agree, I've literally mastered Arkham's game play and it got easy over the course of all the games but Spiderman is different and more creative. I also play on the hardest setting and I've died countless times but man and I getting better...
Craig Cage yeah the hardest difficulty kinda forces you to be a little more creative and diverse when it comes to combat, and there’s so many enemy types that also keep the combat from getting stale
AI in Arkham fights one at a time not so much with this game and the guys wity guns in Arkham doesn't have their weapon reloaded
I died about 7 times of the day, but i laugh so hard how the rag doll spidey falls off the roof and jump getting killed in air he went flying to the camera of the screen 😂😅 can't you make his death look kinda real? Its weird
If they make a spider man movie and make a game they should do the same with SlenderMan and Venom
