I was in love with her. Her movies were before my time in the 70s, my friends would dog me for watching silver screen movies, but something about Susan, I thought she was the most beautiful actress
Susan Hayward was the most sensational red-head to ever grace the screen. She was a powerhouse of talent and had personality that projected well on the screen. In her teens, she was tested for Gone with the wind [1939] but was found too young and inexperienced to essay this role. Her big break came with Smash Up - The Story of a woman. As a radio singer, who goes down skid row with the bottle, earned her her first Oscar nomination. Shortly thereafter followed another hit throughout the world - My Foolish Heart . It was certainly one of Hollywood's most heartbreaking love stories and its theme song was a popular ballad for years. With a song in my heart produced another Oscar nomination. Her best, in my estimation, was I'll Cry Tomorrow. This film was her 4th nomination. She played Lillian Roth, who falls prey to alcoholism, but escapes through her courage and will to live. Susan portrayed decreptitude, , a star going to seed in a raw, uninhibited performance , like a piece of exquisite architecture that peels, cracks and finally crumbles. She finally won an Oscar for I want to live. Susan Hayward, even today, remains one of the all-time-greats of the silver screen!
Everyone who played in the movie "The Conqueror" died in the 70's from one form of cancer or another. The movie was shot 15 miles downrange of a nuclear testing site. They didn't know that much about nuclear radiation in the early to mid 1950's.

You just said everything that was in the biography here? do you think you’re the narrator that’s a lot of typing🤣
