Wow hearing that chainlift at the beginning brought back so many memories
This entrance looks better than my whole park
I can already tell I'm going to love this series! I'm sure you already know, but just in case, you can use CTRL to keep the same height as any object you hover over, so you don't have to Shift up from the ground each time - very useful for roofs or taller scenery

Just a heads up: Roller Coaster Tycoon World is pretty awful compared to this or RCT3. Frontier (who did RCT3) are doing their own one called Planet Coaster though, which should basically be the real RCT4.
Very interesting video though - I'm a gamer so it's a nice thing to see on the channel. You're a lot better than me at building parks in it too :P
Also, +1 for using Helix soundtrack.

Steel coaster, 10 inversions, 2 launches and a dark ride section. In a themed land based around transylvania like chessington
This is the first video I've watched of this series and it look great so far! Just a tip when placing scenery, hover over an elevated scenery piece and press "ctrl" button to make it the same height and just hold it to place multiple pieces.

Great job on this let's play, definitely a good idea over the winter season! RCT2 is still the greatest in the series and it's good to see so many people still enjoying the game. I think you should use the hill you have to make a Mine Train Coaster and a Log flume that will cross paths and take advantage of the scenery. Perhaps Cowboy Creek and Manic Mine Train!

don't do world mate, i know i am late but i still have time to save you, go to planet coaster or parkutech both are a lot better, parkutech is like RCT 1 and 2 and planet coaster is like RT3 on steroids

Enjoying it Shawn, doing this play through is a great idea. Can I suggest since it's nearly Christmas and you have enough theming in the standard game how about a snow/ice themed area next. Maybe with a nice bobsled coaster?

One suggestion though, the music when you speed the footage up seems a bit too sinister for this sort of thing lol Maybe something a bit lighter would be better?

+31Jammy Thank you for the feedback, the audio selected each week is from a different theme park or attraction. For this weeks episode we used the full queue loop from Helix at Liseberg and next week will be Disney music. Create your own scenario in the scenario editor where you will be able to do this

small tip! if you hold your mouse on the wall u just placed in the air. hold ctrl and u can build at that high thingy thing!

Hit Control over an object with the build tool to save its height. That way you don't have to shift + click every time! It saves a lot of time/clicking.

How about a roaring 1920's area with a varginia reel and side friction coasters. Also a classic car ride would fit in. Does RCT2 have Art Deco buildings?

I know this is an old video, but holding the control key will place a scenery object at the previously selected height. Doing this saves time especially if you can't see the ground when raising objects with shift.

This inspired my park (a lot). I used the plaza idea but other than that my park isn't much like it, mine will be more of a Thorpe and yours looks like an Alton.

hi love the work and all the themeing and work u put in it I just had a thought you should do a Christmas theme and mabey all the other seasons but I don't know what themes they do and just to say you did mention doing a series on rct3 and I would love that coz I'm getting it for Christmas and no one has really done a video with much detail as u have put in to ur entrance or just anything so I would really appreciate if u can do that cheers

If it's a western area how about a mine train or mine cart coaster, if they are in RCT2 i'm only familiar with RCT3, but you did a great job with the entrance.

instead of having to raise pieces every time you build a structure, hover over an existing raised piece and hold the 'shift' key. While the shift key is being held, all pieces will be at the height of the piece that was hovered over so that you don't have to raise the pieces every time and work out where you have to raise it from
+WillH-D Thanks for that, I have used that method before but I found it easier to do it this way
+Theme Park Worldwide your way is certainly not "easier" than simply holding control and automatically placing an object at the same height as the one you are hovering over lol. It would make building so much more efficient. I strongly suggest you try it out again :)

You should put a launched free fall tower that is built into the "volcano" and have an apocalyptic like theme around it. I don't think I've seen an apocalyptic theme in any RCT park before.
