Really like the change. You’re right - much more upscale. One thing that did surprise me was that you did not change the base and you left the scroll look, when you started this I thought that was one of the things you were going to do.
Lauren I was reading some of the rumblings your followers were talking about, decided to flip to his site…hummmm gobblygoop spoken there with no meaning. Lauren, you are amazing, you have worked your butt off building an amazing business. I’m so proud of you as I’ve watched you since the beginning. Step over that crap, move on and know that your fans are with YOU! You are successful, talented, smart and beautiful. Don’t look back, just keep moving forward taking those with you that help you, support you and those you can trust. I’m so proud of you for not saying anything, you don’t need to. Love your channel, keep going!
Not surprised they sold so quickly! Love the new color and hardware.😍The old color was pretty, too, but definitely a unique color to try to sell. Congrats on the quick sale!👏
I'm so glad that you are free from a certain person who was dragging you down. Stay strong. You are amazing Lauren. You can do anything! Sending love and good wishes from Toronto 🇨🇦😊💜
One pet peeve I have is when people don’t paint the back of a piece. Sometimes, in certain setups it will be visible and it drives me nuts when I have to limit how I position pieces in my home. I mean if I spend good money on them, I would like to be able to use them how I really like.
@@ThrifterPicker according to who? I have painted the backs of several pieces when I do them myself. Most furniture offered for sale in the 80s and 90s that was lacquered or painted had the backs painted as well.
That’s like the cheap furniture that doesn’t have fabric on the back. Some cheap couches don’t have nice fabric on the back but instead have cheesecloth or muslin. This limits you to only being able to place the couch on a wall.
Thank you for including the cost of items you already own, like tape and plastic. I get so annoyed when someone says they only spent $5 but they used $40 of supplies they already had. That stuff adds up, and gives people unrealistic expectations. Bravo for choosing to be thorough. And the redesign was worth it!
They look amazing! one thing I started doing is drill the new hardware holes before I paint. That way if I make a drilling mistake, I’m not ruining the paint job 👍
I actually like all 3 versions, but yeah I love a deep cobalt or deep navy right now for a neutral. I think the orangey terracotta color could look amazing with the right styling. Nice job they look perfect, like brand new from a store! 👏🏻
I have a terracotta cabinet currently in front of a white wall - initially meant to paint it in a pale blue shade but now bought a green shade called 'balmy basil' and will probably paint the other walls in a green shade as well, slightly lighter - I am very curious to see how that works 😊
I love your channel! I know the name is a little self-serving, but it's actually really truthful at the same time. We all benefit from your experience, and your videos are lovely and amazing!
The keyhole plates are formally called escutcheons. Don't throw them away -- you may want to use them on a later project that has more romantic leanings!
The art of the pivot! Great job! I have some things that have been sitting for ages...you got me thinking. You really don't hesitate to dive in and just do the work! So inspiring 🤩
The handles ate gorgeous! I loved the previous color. I thought you would have modernized the base by getting rid of the curved details. That would have made a huge difference... I am really glad you sold them ! Thanks so much for sharing
They were both great versions but I’m glad you finally got them sold! I’m in so Cal near all the fires) and the orange-ish red version gave me Arizona/New Mexico vibes. I feel like they would have sold there for sure. Like an Air bnb even. So fun! Love your channel. You’re building my confidence to jump in after waiting like 8 years now 😂
here in Finland, I made the bedside tables and chests of drawers myself so that I put a different color in the drawers than in the frame. in addition, the handles are the same color as the body. I think it will sell out quickly. thanks for your videos, they are nice to watch 🙂
Lauren, the night stands came out fabulous. I have to say you look so AMAZING. You look happy, and single life agrees with you totally. Keep up the good work. 👍🌻
wow! awesome switch-up! i love both versions, and i think the acorn color would move fast in a west/southwest market. good advice to meet your market's preferences -- i'm learning that lesson slo-o-o-owly😂 love your channel, and warmest wishes to you. you got this, girl 💗
Beautiful colour, definitely more popular here in Scotland 🏴and less is more when it comes to the attachments on the front, congrats on getting them sold, another lesson learned, cheers 😊
Lauren you are beautiful inside and out and very very talented. Keep up the good work. You are better without someone trying to copy you. Please show pictures of your new apartment when it is finished. I wish I had known what you know about furniture when I was your age. I bought so much pieces of junk from new furniture stores. Money wasted but didn’t have the talent you have.
I can relate to this so well. I had to repaint a table that I painted a beautiful olive green because I needed a break from gray/black/white. Once I went back to a more neutral color, it sold quickly. If you are any kind of artist, painting the same colors can get old. Ultimately, however, the goal is a sale.
What is your recommendation for a sander and paint sprayer? My wife wants to refurbish some furniture and loves watching your videos. I want to ge her these tools for Christmas.
Much better! I didnt care for the first color and hardware. To me just wasnt a great combo. I do love ur work and have learned alot watching your videos

@@dawnafrelone2219 perfectly said! I agree!
thanks! I appreciate the support!
The night stands are gorgeous. I live in MN. I would have bought them in a heart beat.

The back isn’t supposed to be painted.

Painted backs allow the pieces to be floated, used in a living room / family room not just next to beds
My pp is the over spray!

Wow, this is the first video of yours that popped up in the past 6 months! Happy to see you Lauren!
same for me.
I really didn’t like the orange color but they’re beautiful now!! Good call Lauren! 🥰🥰🥰
I DEFINITELY love this color vs the terracotta tone !
This hardware and blue/black are the winning combination !
Beautiful ❤.
Love that color, so much prettier, good choice! Glad that was an easy solution!
They look amazing! one thing I started doing is drill the new hardware holes before I paint. That way if I make a drilling mistake, I’m not ruining the paint job 👍
I typically do this as well! unless I forget 🤣

i agree! they could've looked good in some home but the blue is definitely going to cater to more people! Thanks for watching!

I loved that orange color. Would’ve totally got them if you were closer!
I love your channel! I know the name is a little self-serving, but it's actually really truthful at the same time. We all benefit from your experience, and your videos are lovely and amazing!
So much better, they are beautiful. Glad you kept the tops just as there are.
Those are so great with the new color and handles. Probably could have sold them for 300 more for real. 200 for sure
Thanks! I am still playing around with nightstand pricing! I will try a bit higher on my next set! thanks for watching!
Definitely a more modern look!!! Beautiful and high end 🎉🎉🎉
I love the new color! Good job. Have a blessed day. Congratulations on your sale!
Thank you so much!

I didn't know and I like the way you used the words 'romantic leanings'. Word lover😊

You can do it! sometimes its just time!

Once a teacher, always a teacher! I love it👍. O, I’m a former teacher and I love learning too🥰
They look so much better. And you look really amazing too. Your skin is glowing.

Thank you! i agree!
Gorgeous with the trendy modern colors👍🏻❤️
I really like the custom color that you mixed up and painted onto these two nightstands!
I love your easily digestable style and format!
Well done!
I love the way you transformed these❤❤❤

Thanks on all accounts! appreciate the support!
WTH...single...what did I miss...anyway if she's happy❤
Color and hardware made all the difference! Love!
I’ve found the only colors that sell for me are White, Tan, Black, Raw Wood, and sometimes green and blue. It gets very boring painting after a while
The real teacher is back !!
You’re a smart cookie..time does heal wounds no matter what take the high road always u go girl!!..team Lauren ❤

I love them. The handles are a nice touch.
Thank you!
Love that 1st color. Beautiful. like the 2nd result as well. ❤
I loved both styles. Both are beautiful. But I can understand how many people (not me) like more modern looks
Really pretty. Blue looks so great in so many rooms and decors. Wood, white, modern, rustic, Cottage. My blues and sages always sold super fast.
I love the blue version and the hardware - really pretty!!! ❤️
thanks so much!
Definitely more trendy, but still beautiful! Thank you for showing a “quick” re-makeover. ❤ Congratulations on the fast profitable sale! 🎉
Thank you so much!!

appreciate it! thanks for watching!
Hi Lauren, haven’t been here in a while but I just wanted to tell you, you look awesome. Nice job on the re-do ❤
I liked that hardware from the before. I just didn’t like the color at first. The new color looks great.
So love the new color! I love watching you work your magic.
Lauren, Sweetie...the nightstands look amazing and SO DO YOU!! 😍
Loved those. I would have bought them as well in the new color. You nailed it! Thank you for sharing the switching them up. Beautiful color!

Bravo!!! That fixed them for sure.
Excellent I love the new color you are so talented. Keep up the videos. I enjoy learning from you for my diy projects.
Stunning!❤❤❤❤
Thank you!
I love the darker blue color!
I love the blue with the wood top, and those handles are amazing!

I love these and the color! Buuuut, a black top and black knobs
They looked really nice before, but fabulous now! Great update! Thanks for sharing!
Good job just changing the color and the handles made a big difference.
Prayers 🙏 and Love 🤟 From Ginger
Thank you! Cheers!
Really nice and I'm sure most people won't recognise them from their previous listing. Love the hardware - especially with them all matching
Very pretty, more streamline and less busy. 😊
Oh they are so beautiful. I love the new makeover. 😀

Good job!!!😊🎉❤
That pumpkin color is pretty.
I really liked them both ways
That blue is so beautiful ❤
Design wise, I like to cut off the swirl/ rounded design at the bottom. Giving them a new sleek look/ more modern.
Love the new color and style. Well done 🎉
You did an excellent job on these.
Well done! Beautiful as always!
Great idea to give customer a small container of stain used. 👍
They are beautiful!!
A great update on these two night stands!
Please could we get a shop update , have you updated the extra spare rooms? Etc…
Completely transformed ❤❤❤❤

I like that better with the dark blue
me too!
Much better! I didnt care for the first color and hardware. To me just wasnt a great combo. I do love ur work and have learned alot watching your videos
The base is still traditional. Color combo is nice
I love them! I really like the navy with the new hardware!
I love the color and look. I'm wondering, do you ever cut the scalloped bottom off for a sleeker design?
I sure do! sometimes I don't think its necessary on all of them tho (:
