I can't get over how modern this vehicle looks. The design looks like its from 2020 even though its 2008. In my opinion this is the best looking coupe.
I’m lucky enough to have 2 CL’s, awesome cars, favorite being my CL600 v12 biturbo. Like a magic carpet. Unbelievable car, totally sublime, blinding fast, custom build w/ special paint and leather. $173,000 in 2008, I found it in ‘21 with 16k miles as-new @$31k, same price as a Toyota. CL 63AMG is even hotter. Never one issue w/ either. These cars are f’n amazing
Just replaced mounts on my cl63. It took me about 4-5 hours. I had to unbolt the steereng rack and push it back about half an inch. Also I lifted the engine about 5 inches high to place a new motor mount on the driver's side. I wish it was as easy as on the passenger's side.
Thanks for the heads up on the rack. Yes, the driver side mount comes out the front provided you push the rack down a few inches. You might need to disconnect the steering linkage at the firewall, but before you do, tie the steering wheel off with some rope or bungee cords so that it will not turn when the linkage is disconnected. There's a "clock spring" inside the steering wheel hub that will rotate the steering wheel and destroy the spring assembly inside. Also, the rack is wedged in between the crossmember and a removable plate. You need to release all the rack retaining bolts and then tap the plate forward a bit to free the rack. The WIS manual neglects to state this.
The CL series were among the most awesome cars MBZ ever built. Im was lucky enough to find two-best is Cl600 v12 biturbo. Magic carpet! $173k new, custom built by MBZ for some rich guy in Oakland. I found it in ‘22 with 16k miles, as new dirt cheap. Blinding fast, totally silent. Even hotter is the CL63amg. If you find a lo-mi pretty one, snap it up for the ride of your life. Never one serious issue with either. Woohoo!
I found mine was an unusual audible vibration in the cabin under acceleration. Granted, mine I s a c200 from Australia. Replaced all 3 and feels like a brand new car.
It might be what is causing the issue. It could also be a tire issue or something in the suspension. You my want to check the motor mount to see if it is bad.

Took us a couple of hours using the lift.
Am going to do it for my first time but which method can I use?
We show you how to tackle this in the video.
Try the mechanic method. This is a total pain.
