Questa musica fa da collegamento tra J.S.Bach e Mozart. È bellissimo, si avvertono le sfumature del barocco finale e del principio del periodo classico. Tutto questo con una raffinatezza, un gusto, una intelligenza musicale straordinaria. Trovo che debba essere rivalutato poichè si tratta di un grande compositore, grande scienza ma soprattutto grande capacità inventiva.

what a glorious discovery to find that I may have only discovered my favorite composer at this late date...I have so much to look forward to.Thank you to all the CPE Bach providers.
CPE Bach is still so underrated and underperformed but this absolutely matches Mozart or Haydn's work. There is something special about CPE also. In addition he composed SO much, especially so many keyboard concerti. Thanks for the upload EV as always (whoever you are!). You are a legend and are likely having so much influence on the early music scene worldwide, but with none of the recognition. An aside: The painting of Sir Nigel Gresley shown here initially confused me, because this is not the famous 'Sir Nigel Gresley' who designed steam locomotives in the 20th century but instead Sir Nigel Gresley the 6th Baronet Gresley from the 18th century. The two Nigel Gresleys were in fact distantly related.

CPE Bach's slow movements are truly beyond stunning with their intricacy and lyricism.
