Some articles I've read recommend even videoing the underside of the car and checking if the locks work with the physical key to avoid being charged for a pre-existing damaged lock. Then the jack/inflation pump kit needs checking that they are present in the boot/trunk. Stone chips on windows, aerial damage etc etc
Thanks for the note. Its a tough call. I have had some companies that were so great and easy and -SAFE- to deal with... And others that tried to take me to the cleaners for a dollar or two. So now I just record the entire car and document, document, document the entire thing... I figure its better to be safe then to fight with a company 7000 miles away that doesnt speak your language... =) Be safe out there. =) Thanks for watching my videos. =) Eric
No. My credit card will cover the car up to a certain point... But I still dont take chances and video the car inside and out. =) Be safe out there. Thanks for watching my video. Eric
I agree... With money being EVERY COMPANY'S driving factor its smart to be safe. I have experienced it in America as well. Thanks James for watching my video. =) Eric
Sicily is great but not as clean as some places in italy... And not as dirty as others. People were great. Sites were amazing. Just be safe while you are out and about. =) Thanks for watching my videos. =) Eric
@@EricClarkTravelVideos Would you say it’s better to rent a car at the FCO airport rather than at Termini Station if driving to the east side of Italy from Rome?
@@jimgemelas4147 yes. I have tried st other locations to find it more expensive or not choices of the car you want. Of course this is not always the case but I would go with the airport rental place. :) Videos tape your car. :) Thanks for watch. Eric
I use SkyScanner.com and do a search in the rental car area for the cheapest one I can find. I think as long as you -PROTECT- yourself with pictures and videos and writing up the issues you really are much safer. Enjoy Rome. Its amazing!!! Also, I have 100s of videos on Rome. I dont think I missed any of it. =) Thanks for watching. Eric

How was your experience with Sicily? I’m going to Rome in March and their prices are way lower than the others. Appreciate the video
Curious to know as well!

they were asking about Sicily by Car....not Sicily itself... how was the rental process with them?
@@tmorrison5965 I Ended up going with Hertz
Nice video! How easy was it to rent a car at FCO?
Its pretty easy. Get your universal drivers license... Some places wont rent to you without it.
Thanks for watching and the question. =)
