This is possibly one of the best Godzilla figures ever made in history. The detail, sculpt, paint job and accessories are fantastic! I’m very happy to have this figure in my collection!
Godzilla is very special to me. I adore him since I was 4 and had my first godzilla toy at 6 don't own it anymore. Just turned 18 and bought this figure. Im so happy with this masterpiece. I feel like a kid again. Thanks man your videos are awesome and very helpful! Love the unboxing videos btw and keep them going!
GoDzLegendpics2012 Hey, not a problem, and more videos will be coming this month! You'll get sick of seeing my channel pop up in your feed! I'm glad you were brought into collecting with this line. I, too, started collecting with the idea of the SHMA line, with my first real collectible being the Sci-Fi Revoltech Gamera. I had Trendmasters and the Imperial vinyls as a kid, but nothing even remotely close to this. I got sucked in and ordered all of the Toho kaiju revoltechs right after Gamera in preparation of the 2011 release of Godzilla, and they all showed up on the same day right after my birthday. This line brings back some fond memories of my younger years, and it's certainly shaping my current ones, too! Welcome to the club, amigo!
I own this figure and I love it. He's perfect. His eyes aren't derpy and he almost straight. Also I don't have the coloration error with the mouth and my red isn't as deep of a red. I could show you some photos as proof on either Instagram or Facebook.
They carry this guy at Barnes and Nobles now I might have to pick him since up I missed out on the original 1994 version and just need a standard color scheme Godzilla from SH for my collection. Great review BTW!
My first SH Monsterarts Godzilla 1995 birth ver. will arrive soon, I just order mine. Sad I want to get Burning Godzilla but hell the price is high. But the adult Godzilla jr looks the best.
Just got this one today. Unfortunately the waist joint on mine is loose to the point of him effectively being two pieces. Everything else works fine, so he's still just as poseable (well I can't have him lean too far forward), I just have to be careful when I move him. I would argue it makes him easier to pose because I can pose the top and bottom half independently. Still, a great figure and a great review on your part.
Despite already owning the 1994 version which I still love, this godzilla will be on my watch list at conventions or other sales. It's funny cause I think I got the one 1994 without derpy eyes. lol
Zwarrior300 Mmhmm, I own the 1994 SHMA (shocker if you watch the review, right?) and I gotta say this is better at everything... except being the 1994 suit lol
Steven's Toy Reviews Wow! You replied? Wasn't expecting that. Anyway, Where would you pick up the Godzilla Jr. that attacked Destroyahs flying from? How would i get that? :)
It comes down to whether you like the burning scheme or not. If yes, get Burning, if not, get Birth Ver. I suggest getting both, though, if you have the money.
Eh still not sold. At the end of the day it's just a glorified repaint. I'm happy as it is with the Burning one. Maybe if they do Bio or Ghido goji, those would be different enough to warrant a purchase from me.
Major Moe I feel you, it's not for everyone, but it's just sooo different in hand. I was totally against buying it, but now that I have it I'd go back in time and smack myself. But, to your point, a BioGoji would have been preferred over this. This is clearly the product of Bandai wanting to get a Godzilla on store shelves in time for the new movie.
Steven's Toy Reviews Doesn't Tamashii have a Bio prototype sculpt that keeps popping up at toy shows? Hope they're not going to pull the same shtick with their Ultra acts and just tease the hell out of prototypes, only to never see the light of day. A heisei Godzilla the [tail] articulation up to their current releases? Yes please.
Steven's Toy Reviews On that note. Unless I'm mistaken, a year or two ago Tamashii had their Biollante prototype on display [albeit it looked shoddy] and it took them well over a year to finally announce it in the line up. Pure conjecture here: Maybe they're just putting it on Back burner or something. They kinda sorta did that with the Biollante way back. Granted that was along the lines of redoing that shoddy sculpt. Though sometimes I do wish that they didn't revoke the license from Kaiyodo, as I'm a bit bummed that Tamashii's efforts with Evangelion have vanished. Sure the Revoltechs aren't for everyone, but their line up [and rumored plans] appealed to me far more than these lukewarm years from Tamashii. Granted these are very mixed feelings. Ones that I'm sure would be picked apart in some collectors group or forum. It's why I tend to avoid and lurk with this stuff.
They didn't really revoke a license, they just got the license from Toho for 3 big players, Goji, Mechagoji, and KG and Kaiyodo didn't want to play anymore if they could only do the supporting stuff. And yes, we'll see BioGoji sooner or later. All good things come with time.
Good review. I really like this figure, and this Godzilla design in particular is likely my favorite. I'm trying to start collecting, however I have a bit of a budget to worry about. Should I get this guy, or simply pick up the Bandai Movie Monster Series ShinGoji? Considering my budget, in collecting, should I save up gradually and collect MonsterArts figures, or simply the (usually) cheaper Bandai figures?
First, thank you! As for collecting, my rule of thumb is buy what you think is worth the money. If you like S.H. MonsterArts from the looks of it, buy them. The way I think of it, you can't "work up" to other lines like you would a starter instrument to a professional one. With budget though, choose ether quantity or quality and go from there.
+Steven's Toy Reviews You're welcome. And odds are, I'd be paying similar prices for the Bandai ShinGoji (30-40$) or the MonsterArts Rebirth Godzilla. (40-50$) however I can't decide which would be the better figure to purchase. So say if you had a bit of a budget, would you save up and gradually collect MonsterArts figures, or just go with Bandai's cheaper figures?
+Mattoosaurus Rex Well, again, if you quantity, it's cheap to get a bunch of vinyls for say $100. However, for quality, you could get 1-2 SHMAs for the same price. Personally, go with Birth Ver. of the two.
I love the design of the fully grown godzilla jr it is the best version of godzilla in my opinion if anyone likes this design your a real one! And if you hate this design then scram you piece of sarcastick crap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mines loose in the waist (where it looks like a diaper) when I lift it up it comes off doesn't wanna stay anyone has a problem with this or any solutions?
I would say this is THE Godzilla figure to get. But, with the current after market prices... Good luck with that...

Godzilla junior: wait……… don’t tell me I have to go to the dentist again. I m too large to fit in the clinic
I think he's the best and most accurate SH monsterarts Godzilla ever, much better than the 2014 Godzilla figure
predator 501 I agree
oldschool kid hyper mega super agree
The head is so amazing and intimidating even though 2014 is more intimidating this is terrifying !
This is my favorite Godzilla disign.
love that one he need to be my first S.H monsters arts :-D
I want this thing!! It would be my first monsterarts figure and I think it would be a great start! I plan to get it for Christmas
Yes, a great place to start!!! I say get it ASAP.
They carry this guy at Barnes and Nobles now I might have to pick him since up I missed out on the original 1994 version and just need a standard color scheme Godzilla from SH for my collection. Great review BTW!
Yeah that's what I did.
I'm getting dat too, I'm soooo exited.
You sound pretty calm in this video
Maybe because its a perfect godzilla figure
I wonder why godzilla almost (hesei) always has his hands CLOSED and CLOSE to HIS chest
Hey I wander if Jr. Lived or died thanks for the answer
Awesome review!
My first SH Monsterarts Godzilla 1995 birth ver. will arrive soon, I just order mine. Sad I want to get Burning Godzilla but hell the price is high. But the adult Godzilla jr looks the best.
Heisei is my favorite and I feel like this is more worth it than spitfire shin
Just got this one today. Unfortunately the waist joint on mine is loose to the point of him effectively being two pieces. love its details and everything about him. might be my first monsterarts figure
Nice review
KEEP doing good work
This is my first SH Monsterarts figure!!!
Birth Version is bigger and taller than the First Edition.
I hesitated.
Now He's too expensive.
fml.
***** You know it's getting/been reissued, right?
It is? Well I'll be! :D
+Steven's Toy Reviews Reissued?
Released again.
Steven's Toy Reviews Well yeah, but I mean like did they run out and they were re-stocked, is there a difference, or what?
We still need baby Godzilla.
cool toy
this is basically heisei godzilla but upgraded.
my favourite is jr but damn is he exspensive this one is half the price and comes with the effect part but im stillllll in the middle
Shouldn't Jr be green? The figure looks amazing but I always thought if he was a darker green it would help distinguish him from his father.
I just got this figure, and i must say, this is an amazing figure.
+Roy Pretty much every ball joint is stuck pretty much. Its hard to get him to move. Should i bring out the blow dryer?
+Roy yes, the blow dryer will help
My top Torso joint doesn’t really work I can just barley get a tiny bit of articulation on the top
Well this settles it!
I think its apposite he has a red beam to start off with and finish his enemies with a blue spiral ray
I like the way you think!
Thanks
Should i get this? I don't have any figures and i think this would be a good introduction to the collectors Godzilla figures.
Absolutely! Great starting point with neat accessories.
Steven's Toy Reviews Wow! You replied? Wasn't expecting that. Anyway, Where would you pick up the Godzilla Jr. that attacked Destroyahs flying from? How would i get that? :)
Yeah! I try to reply when I can.
Jr. Is stupid expensive now. Check eBay and Mandarake for deals. Jungle, too.
+Steven's Toy Reviews Alright. Thanks dude, you're the best!
Awww, no biggie! Thanks for watching!
How do I fix the ab crunch???
Hey which one is better? Burning, original release, or this one? I am looking for a good sh?
It comes down to whether you like the burning scheme or not. If yes, get Burning, if not, get Birth Ver. I suggest getting both, though, if you have the money.
Cool
Where do you get this
Why cant i move the top half of him?
Subbed
gummi wolfi Thank you!!!
it's come from Australia or not
which one is better to get???this one or the 2k special color ver.??????
It's tough to say. They're both pretty good. Go with the one you like the most.

Got some news for ya... S.H. MonsterArts is makin a... GAMERA!!!! RegionGame (1996) to be exact! ;)!
I know, I broke it :D
they already did
Godzillabrofan 24 I commented that when the figure was announced.
Rebecca Allen oh sorry
Godzillabrofan 24 It's cool! ;)! Guess I could delete this now that it's out.
I got that figure.
Mine falls apart at the waist at the slightest touch
4:52 WATCH ME WHIP!!
The reason why they gave this figure a red beam is because Junior is Godzilla 2000.
+Max Carroll No he's not.
+Max Carroll toho officialy confirmed that Godzilla vs Destroyer is not canon with Godzilla 2000.
+Steven's Toy Reviews that's what toho cerfermed
+Godzillabrofan 24 No, actually, they didn't.
Steven's Toy Reviews oh okay sorry
Which sh monsterarts is better 1994 or 1995
gloria afanador Depends. Generally, though, I love the 95 mold.
1995 if you just want a good looking Heisei Godzilla, 1994 if you specifically want a figure of the MogeGoji suit.
Wait how did you get this for free
I said how I did in the unboxing video! Check it out.
Adult Godzilla jr
Did you pick up Godzilla 2014?
tom lawrence Yes I did, and I already have a review up!
Steven's Toy Reviews I saw it, you didn't see too happy with it.
Eh still not sold. At the end of the day it's just a glorified repaint. I'm happy as it is with the Burning one. Maybe if they do Bio or Ghido goji, those would be different enough to warrant a purchase from me.

Yes, they do. One 12PM prototype and one SHMA prototype. Also, with the prototypes being in limbo... it's their *thing*, Bandai likes to do that :/
Steven's Toy Reviews
On that note. Unless I'm mistaken, a year or two ago Tamashii had their Biollante prototype on display [albeit it looked shoddy] and it took them well over a year to finally announce it in the line up. Pure conjecture here:

Nvm Ig it's normal.
Is there any other problems articulation wise or super loose joints? I'm looking for a good heisei Godzilla to get.
GodzillaSuperFan 1954 It’s the best sh hiese Godzilla figure you can get imp I do recommend it!
Im definitely going to pick it up at some point, if they only had a 6" 1989 with no electronics I love that design
