It was a great opportunity to face that his playstyle of going by which unit feels stronger to go against without ever (re)reading their text to reform his opinion of the unit based on the context of different weeklies doesn't really work. But no, he just doubled down.

I'll admit that I was a big critic of NL this weekly, but he made some great decisions this video and improved a lot(like using tempura shrimp more), and I was pogging it up for that last run. GG WP!

Same, same 6:42 I hate the developer that changed the caterpillar if it’s your own caterpillar it’s weaker but when you like have 9 wins or something then you are forced to meat a strong team and even though you are a strong team you get a caterpillar team that is copies your stats that sucks so much I like the old caterpillar
It’s more interactive and less snowbally, fits more thematically (puts you behind while it grows and then helps you comeback after it pops), and gives more counterplay to just building big unit
Way more interesting design imo

They nerf every animal in the game into dogshit every patch, I can't blame him for not sitting through reading that shit every time
@@shrimpchris6580 I honestly hate to say it but yeah I have to agree. I mean, I do still read the patch notes and enjoy seeing and playing with the new changes. But I feel like they have been over nerfing a lot of units. That's why NL keeps running dragon, because they've nerfed all the pets so much that NL can't rely on cool synergies and instead has to just has to rely on spamming stats. I really hope they start giving out some big buffs
@@samgomez9942 I'm still astounded by how hard the seal got shit on. Reducing the total stats it can give, spreading them wider, and they're only one type so you just miss out completely on hp.
@@shrimpchris6580 For real man. I thought the the moose and penguin got screwed but the fucking seal nerf took the cake. Seal used to be a team carrier, which maybe was a bit too much. But now the seal isn't even mediocre at scaling even with multiple other units that compliment a food build (squirrel, owl, sauropod, etc). I haven't seen enough people pissed off about that and I'm glad at least one other person cares.
These weeklies are so brutal
Losing to Jerboa + Owl because of plays like 9:10 without a doubt. Early game lacking & then going into decisions like not taking a cat over a trash tropical fish in the midgame while having a level 2 fox on the squad. Let the fox ramp man, It's your hard scaler. Why the hell wouldn't you double or potentially triple your already doubled food effects in a weekly about food instead of giving 2 units 2 health per turn.. Come on now.
3:53 I actually said "OVER THE ANT?!" out loud, with a mouth full of food, in the middle of a discord call. The scripting this season is unreal. You can't get plot twists like this anywhere else.

I've said it before, when you play arena, most of the "people" you come across are bots that twg has algorithmically developed based on your team set up/ weekly setup and so they counter your team by only a few points either way... I think a lot of these teams are semi unrealistic or implausible.
