    As a lifetime (46+ years) driver in NJ, I can tell you that I’ve probably only used my horn a dozen times because it doesn’t do a damned thing. Keeping your hands on wheel, being prepared to move, and using your brakes work much better. I can’t control how others drive, only how I react to it. If you think I’m a slow driver or even a nervous driver, you’d be wrong. I just enjoy driving and don’t let others ruin my trip.

    It's getting so bad in this God-forsaken state that I even hate driving to the corner grocery store.

    Speaking as someone from Jersey, people in the lane always have right of way, but almost all of them don't realize if you actively make it difficult for someone to change lanes (e.g. speeding up so they can't, or refusing to slow down so they can) you can be held liable for a collision

    If you have time to lay on the horn you have time to apply the brakes.
    The best way to avoid a potentially dangerous road rage incident is to just let them in and go about your day.

    I love how the GPS says to stay on the lower level when you're on the upper level.

    3:03 typical New Yorker. They drive how they want to drive whenever they drive. They make up the rules as they go.

    2:15- I'm not going to lie. I probably would have sent that footage into the company. That's too reckless on their part.
    2:48- That was a close one!!
    Great video man!

    As always amazing clips that you’ve captured on the “wonderful” roads of NJ. I just wanna know where all those firetrucks and police cars were going to. And that jeep driver didn’t have to do all of that to pass. Lemme guess that was a jersey slide they did.

    • @DashCamOutEast
      @DashCamOutEast  ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm not sure where they were all going.
      And no, a Jersey slide is when somebody veers across 2 or more lanes in a short span to get to an exit that they almost missed.

    2:15 Hate when a large truck does that.
    3:07 Just had to get one more car ahead.
    4:08 For that many fire trucks I'd say something is on fire somewhere. But I remember one day at work about 10 trucks showed up because a construction worker fell into the gap between the foundation and dirt of a parking garage they were building. They needed all of them for a rope rescue. (It was probably about two levels deep.)

      4:08 Yeah I'm surprised how many firetrucks show up sometimes.

    If a truck is tailgating you, you know you're a slow driver.

  • @josephpayton5517
    @josephpayton5517 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    The semi tailgating you was pretty close. And I understand wide the Range Rover honked. They probably did that only because the road is probably narrow. Though ofc due to the wide angle camera some people wouldn’t see that. Idk if wide angle camera benefit anything or they make a tight situations look so much larger than they really are. That jeep was really close I can tell.

    By the looks of it on camera it looks like u slightly went over the line next to the Range Rover. Slightly. And your pilot is wide. She’s kind of a big girl so that with the way the roads are makes it seem like u went onto the line. It probably just have them a slight fright lol.

      Why do you say that? I've been driving here for 10 years now. Over 100,000 miles on these roads and highways.
      Did Uber for 2 years where I drove over 4,000 passengers and had a 4.98 rating out of 5. I think I'm doing just fine driving in this state.
