I think you guys are overestimating your speed of being able to cycle through the 6 shooter, especially if it is not a double-action, which I would assume it is not. If the first shot doesn't have the bullet in it, the guy with the machete is on you and your dead. Watch Doug Marcaida (knife fighter) vs. World's best gunfighter video. He always wins until the distance is more than 20 ft. away, and the gun is not 1/6 chance to shoot.
