Just to note: A big morning routine isn't for everyone. I always tried to do so many things you're supposed to in the morning but it's just tiring and stressful. Instead I do a lot in the evening. It was also recommended to me that I exercise in the evening (doesn't use up important energy for work/life in the morning, and helps properly dissolve stress in a healthy way after work). I do all my gratitude and self care in the evening - the results for me are so much better than when I was trying to do it all in the morning (it's way less stressful too as I don't have to keep an eye on the time for work as I do in the morning). To me, the morning is for preparing me for the day ahead only. Food. Appearance. Sorting out my to do list. Etc. I am already feeling calm and grateful from my night routine and good sleep, so I can just get started with my day in the morning.

I just want to say thank you for making this comment. I am exactly like you, that I do my routine in the evening and it works so much better for me and it destresses me after work. I also tried to do all the things in the morning and it wasn’t working out for me. There’s nothing wrong with how we do things in the evening! I just don’t hear people talk about it enough 😌 it’s nice to know not everyone is a morning person in that sense, but we can still be successful/productive!

I think a lot of this has to do with natural cadence for people. Not everyone is at top speed to function first thing in the morning. I know several morning people that are bright eyed and bushy tailed at 5 or 6 in the morning. I’m slow to wake and I find myself most productive in the afternoon, and more constructive on self care in the evening, like you. I enjoy setting myself up with an easy morning, by setting my coffee up with a timer, setting my clothes out, etc. There’s no reason to set off my anxiety first thing in the morning trying to do a ton of things before I go do more things. That’s not self care to me to live racing the clock all day just to check a bunch of boxes.

    My morning routine is:
    1. Pray & Give Thanks
    2. Drink water
    3. Spread my bed
    4. Workout
    4. If no morning workout this day I shower and get ready for the day.
    5. Tea & reading (either the Bible, a devotional or a book)
    6. Start my day

My morning routine is getting out of the bed at 5:30 ish, brushing teeth, putting on my nursing scrubs, brushing hair(not always, mostly putting hair up), rushing out of my house(it's my exercise), praying on my way to work that none of my patients will code.. running a marathon for 12-hour shift, come home, shower, go to bed and start all over again next morning. As a muslim woman, we make sure to wake up before the sun rises with gratitude to Allah(God) that He gave us life after that we were dead(sleep is a minor death where our souls leave our bodies) then proceed to wash our hands, perform ablution and pray the morning prayer(Fajr). We ask Allah who's our Maker, Provider,Sustainer, Healer...for everything we want in prostration to Him facing the Qiblah(where the Kaaba is situated in Mecca) and after that continue to praise him and recite the morning remembrance(adhkaar in Arabic) asking for the best morning (there's one for the evening too and one for sleep)♡This sets the tone for the day, and I don't experience any anxiety, sadness or laziness during my work...if I can I also reflect on the Qur'an (His words to humanity) and read and sometimes memorise...

My morning routine has totally changed since I retired. I do have a list and generally quite productive days. I used to get up at 5:30 and get to work at 7:30. Now, my animals get me up to feed them at 6:30. I do that while making my tea and cereal. Then I go back to my bed and have my breakfast and listen to the radio and read or check my emails, and computer. I get up at 8 am and shower and get my day started. I do have a list and day planner. I do try to accomplish the toughest items first, like you said and I no longer hate mornings. I can take my time and not rush. I dress stylishly unless I am going to play Pickleball, where I would wear exercise clothes. I am really enjoying the more relaxed mornings and I have time to get in a good frame of mind. I love morning radio and listen, even when I am doing something else. My routine has changed. It is still organized, but I can take my time and I always get everything done.

  • @jenniferparker6125
    @jenniferparker6125 2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

My morning routine is as follows:
    1. Shortly after taking a few minutes to stretch and wake up, I will make myself a large glass of lemon water. (Note: I squeeze 3 lemons the night before so I have enough lemon juice for the next three days, then I’ll squeeze three more lemons Wednesday night in preparation for the next three days).. Sunday’s I take a break from lemon water, or if I feel like it, I’ll squeeze an individual lemon.
    2. I then take my vitamins with normal water.
    3. I wash my face, treat it, and prepare it.
    4. I make my superfoods beverage which consists of a scoop of Activated You - Morning Complete, as well as a teaspoon of three different apothékary powders and about 18-20oz of water. I use a blender as otherwise it takes too long to blend with a spoon. While making this beverage, I also prepare my Yerba Mate tea with a medium sized French tea press and will let it sit for the next 45 minutes.
    5. I then take my superfoods beverage with me while I go to put on some make up and style my hair. (I take a shower the night before and my hair is usually damp when I wake up, so a little product blow dryed in and about 15-20 minutes with a flat iron makes it look decent).
    6. Once I’m done with my hair and makeup, my tea will be ready to pour into my work beverage container, which keeps it hot for many hours. I stir in some cinnamon before closing the lid, otherwise the taste isn’t very pleasant.
    7. At this same time I will make a different superfood water, using a special water called; Lithia water. (Highly suggest). I drop two tabs into a 20oz to-go beverage bottle and while it is dissolving (usually takes about 15-20 minutes), I then..
    8. Get dressed for my day and make sure I packed everything I need for my day; including an emergency peanut butter sandwich (of which I prepare the night before, and of which I very rarely consume as I’m usually not hungry until dinner time).
    9. The last things I do are to brush my teeth, put on a simple lipstick or chapstick depending on how I feel), grab all of my beverages and let my car warm up for a few minutes..
    10. While my car warms up, I scroll through my SoundCloud, MixCloud, or TH-cam accounts and will select a set to listen to on the drive to work, which is usually a 45-60 minute commute. During my drive, I think about three things I’m grateful for in the following categories… A. General, B. People, and C. Personal/about myself. So in total.. that’s nine things I tend to find of which I’m grateful for on a daily basis. I also spend a few minutes praying to God with Gratitude.
Then.. once I get to work.. I have a list there of what I made at the end of my work day prior that shows me where I left off as well as my most pertinent action items I need to attend too after briefly checking my emails in case I may need to switch gears.
During my lunch hour, I walk a good 30-45 minutes.
Shortly after I arrive home, I also go to the gym and do some more cardio and/or yoga.
I make myself my own dinners, which are rather large meals since I’m not hungry for breakfast or lunch, and then I unwind with a tv show, then a hot shower, then some reading before bed.

I actually sat down and wrote out my morning routine just the other day! I wake up and I share coffee with my husband right before he leaves. I then get myself ready, then the kids, I then pack the healthy food I had already prepared for the day for everyone. I then start my housework as much as I can get done before leaving to work. My workout comes in the late afternoon when I have more time. I do a lot of evening prep for the next day, like to do lists, coffee prep, cooking, and discussing with the family what will be happening the next day.
Our routines really keep things flowing so we can feel happy and refreshed, and ready to make things happen!
I also have been enjoying lilysilk for over a year now! Thanks for the code, l think the new year means new pajamas!

I start off my mornings with the 5 Minute Journal - it sets up a gratitude and affirmation practice template so that I write down 3 things I’m grateful for, 3 things that would make today great, and an affirmation that sets me on the path to achieving these things. Every night, I recap my day by listing 3 amazing things that happened today, and how I could have made today even better. In my opinion it’s the best manifestation and mindfulness tool as it keeps me focused/accountable for the intentions I set. Highly recommended !

Been practicing to wake up at 5am since August 2021, first thing when I wake up is to exercise for at least 10mins, then do my meditation/journal/reading whichever I feel I need to do, shower and started working on those task that requires heavy lifting focus and then do the easy tasks as the day goes. If I finish work early (about 4pm), I will do the second window of workout or take some naps. I will go to bed latest by 10pm. I find this routine healthy and less stressful because I have more time to complete my tasks without rushing.

Nice video... I would like to say that routines are different for different people according to their health, priority, work and family needs or structure. There is no 'fits one fits all' kind of formula. Eating fruits or having fruit juice in the morning is more healthy than other beverages. In fact, some lemon water with honey works better for your skin due to Vitamin C. Yoga is better for women who have work stress or family to look after than other stressful exercises. It helps to relax, strengthen and improve your health especially when your tasks are physically demanding. Reduce your TV time, smartphone and other gadget time and focus on what tasks are in your bucket list. Last but not the least, be always grateful for what you have and be a positive person.

I think that you have very good points on what you are saying. So my feedback is just on how it is filmed. I like it when you talk more into the camera (like your old videos). In this video, the camera is moving about a lot (too fast and too many different angles) which is for me too distracting. It is good that you are trying new ways to film, but this video is not in the same line as your old ones. Those were more slow and you were looking more at us viewers.
Keep up your good work Anna!

The problem is -- I have friends that I share the same ideas with and they don't believe me or roll their eyes! I hope I can share this video with them so they know I'm not the only one.
Another thing I have to add -- you mention meditation or just chilling with yourself etc. Personally, I combine that with exercise because I never listen to music or whatever when I run/walk in the morning. Instead, I use that time to enjoy myself and reflect on everything. So, that could be a good shortcut for us busy girls!

I'm a stay at home homeschool mom and morning routines are imperative for me! My kids usually are my alarm. I am a spiritual person and I put on my spiritual armour and do an affirmation before I get out of bed as well as a scripture devotional. I do not make my bed but should probably start because I love going to bed in a made up bed. Then I will do a load of laundry, if needed (eat the frog). Then I have personal prayer time while the kids choose something quiet to do like reading or some quiet type play. Afterwards, we take care of the dog and eat breakfast. Then the kids play for a bit, while I have a time of reflection and usually do my social media time too. Then we begin our day. I like what you say about making the bed, I need to try that. Also, I love what you say about gratitude and affirmation, but I want to encourage you to not be shy about mentioning the option of prayer. So many people do it. You mention meditation, many people do that as well. That would be the perfect time to say, Meditation or Prayer which ever you prefer.🙂 These tips were great as always. Thank you Ms. Anna Bey!❤

I really love your channel. But it's pretty hard to implement your pieces of advice regarding morning routine for mothers of young kids. My morning is around the family. Making fresh porridge and preparing child fir daycare. Then I have 10 min fir myself: to make a bad and take a shower. Then my remote work day starts. I usually start it with a cup of coffee and plan for a day/week.
Perhaps I should start waking up earlier and get some morning exercises, since I don't have motivation to do those during the day and therefore lacking fiscal activity. And yes I have silk pajama and pillow case (from Lilysilk) + silk comforter - my love forever. Hoping to buy also the rest of bedding set at some point. My mother-in-law says: "Once you try silk, you'll never want to use anything else". And that is such a truth.
All the best to you dear Anna and thanks for your videos 😊👍I'll definitely try to implement at least morning exercises on my journey to become better me 😉😊

As I'm retired I no longer need to focus on work outside the home, but there's still a lot to do in the home and the garden. I always check the weather report the night before to decide if the next day will be mostly in- or outdoors. Garden work is not very nice in pouring rain for example. Then I prep what is appropriate to wear for the next day. Also, I always shower and moisturize my body carefully before going to bed to relax with a book until my eyes get sleepy. In the morning I do a quick morning routine in the bathroom, and start preparing my husband's breakfast. I will eat later if I'm hungry or at lunch. I don't make the bed first thing because I want the bedding to air and cool off. When making the bed I always give the bedding a good shake in fresh air before I start to make the bed.

I drink a big glass of filtered water I put by my bedside each evening. It’s great for a better mood and no more brain fog. I also kneel down and worship Jesus Christ, I ask for forgiveness, pray and give thanks. What a difference it makes.

Every morning when i wake up, first i go to the bathroom :) washing my face with ice-cold water, brush my teeth and do some streching while that. After that i make by bed, go for a walk with my dog, then breakfast and then i start to work. Thanks for all these ideas. Gratitude in the morning, i want to try that now! 😍✨

One thing that helped my mornings is my new alarm-clock. It's glowing with kind of a sunrise and slowly wakes you up. It's great and I see a real difference when I wake up with or with a classic alarm.
