For those who don't know, Liv wasn't just on stage with Prince. She's very well known among Prince fans. She was on stage with him for the last 5 or 6 years of his life. He mentored her. He encouraged her to record her own music, including writing 2 songs on her album The Unexpected (including the title track).
She was awesome. She was the bomb. She rock the house.

She’s been recording albums for over 20 years. I’ve been buying them. She’s been in mainstream radio for years and toured with Nancy Wilson from Heart and basically took Ann’s place. I’m not sure why she was on this show. I’m truly wondering if it was just a promotional tactic since she is already a well established musician
well, I have heard only one song, so definitely not a concert, and also, it was too much, too loud, lack of melody, so not a good one

@@buddah610, I agree with you on the one hand; it doesn't seem fair for established professionals to be on shows that are supposedly meant for undiscovered amateurs. But on the other hand, even though she's established as a long-time performer, she's not achieved superstar status, so she's still looking for that BIG break like all performers do. I've not heard of her and I'm sure there are many who haven't heard of her. And speaking as a singer (amateur), I would definitely take advantage of an opportunity like this for national exposure. So even though it doesn't seem exactly fair to me, I still say good for her for going for it. How's that for a divided opinion? 😂

Yes! I was worried when I saw those trombones lined up behind her and the mic. Like, man, she either better be a powerhouse, or them 'bones better have some killer control. Was pleasantly surprised that it was a yes to both!

She had a show for her Album called Embrace Me and we got to meet her at the end of the show and she gave me her CD and my mom still has it til this day❤️ for the Fourth of July o was blasting it in her backyard ❤️💯

Part of that band was Prince’s NPG horns. She has been out here solo since Prince transitioned. Music Industry can’t handle her because they always want to box artists in a genre and that BS ain’t gonna work for Liv. Far tooooo talented to be put in a box.
