Back in Beta, way before 1.6, it had a silencer pre installed, not be able to remove. Putting the siliencer on the usp in 1.6 made is also less accurate/harder to spray.

back in the day a lot of games decided that having a silencer makes your gun quiet but as a trade off does less damage
i would rather have the damage personally. but i could see why someone would use the silencer
