Class 25's are great little locos. Back in my Stonebridge Park days we would be rostered a pair of them to work motorails from Kensington Olympia up North pole bank to Mitre Bridge where an electric loco would take over. They were long trains, 8 coaches and 12 bogie flats for the cars. Sometimes we would only have one loco but it would always get the train over the top at walking pace with everything shaking and rattling.
What a sure footed, single handed effort from Lady of Legend. A great sight.
Absolutely! Made the car park shake!!
Well done LADY OF LEGEND
Essential viewing for the uphill chuff lovers.
The steamers threw out less muck than the diesels!
Lovely sound recording, particularly for the Lady.
Great video up the Ski Jump.
Glad you enjoyed it

They are indeed, love a 25!!
Great concept, same location different engines.
Thank you, been doing this video for a couple of years now, rather enjoying it!
Fantastic Video, Thanks For Share,
I did it behind Britannia a couple of weeks ago. Great video.
Thank you, I can imagine that was brilliant!!
Ah, the Hymek. When I lived at Witham Friary c.1972 there was always one going up the branch to Cranmore.
They’re brilliant aren’t they?!
Nice footage of loco's hard at work, thanks for sharing
Thank you!
Some of those diesels need a good overhaul. Some of those carriages too!
Crikey you must be a brilliant engineer....or just a.>
Is this you offering your time to help overhaul them?
@@ELRTrainspotter I would if I still lived in the U.K.!
I don't think i've ever seen a class 50 that actually burns fuel fully before ejecting it
A couple of slips there from Leander...i didn't know the East Lancs had so many carriages😅
I was Honestly Surprised Tank engines as small as 51456 and Gothenburg would be able to Make it up the gradient with a train.
Music of the year 2023
Is that my title for 2024 then? 🤣🤣
Absolutely perfect, although I would've loved to see the double headed warships head up the bank
With ten coaches, not just five?
Thank you, can’t please everyone 🤦♂️🤣
Lots of clag out the Class 50
Absolutely!!
So they put 3 diesels on a rake of 5 carriages, but leave Leander to struggle up alone with the same 5 carriages!
Note that they weren’t all at the same time, some of these were done for effect, the weather also plays quite a role!
Steam locos look more confident.
37 109. Easy
The noise was incredible!!
Beautiful steam locomotives, nasty smelly diesels.
Steam locos smell as well.
Lovely engines and sound - ugly location.
well, it's Bury innit?
Thank you! Can’t help the location I’m afraid 🤣
Purpose of this ?
Apologies, I’m not sure I understand. Do you mean the purpose of the incline or the video?
@@ELRTrainspotter Well the incline really
@@bertiewooster3326 takes the line over the Metrolink so that it can continue to Heywood
