If his contract is illegal, if he has a legal claim that they're stealing from them, than he should simply unlink his TH-cam account from their network. No channel is forced by TH-cam to stay in a network. You can press a button on your dashboard and it's done. No more money going to these thieves.

If your network breaks the contract, you can walk away. I'd hire a lawyer to write an official statement of dissolution to your network and youtube. If your network doesn't release you then file suit against them and write a notice of suit to youtube and hopefully they'll step in and keep the network from claiming your earnings until the matter is settled.
Furthermore, if you've notified them of your wish to leave contract and have some sort of proof, like an email sent from a server that will still have it on file like gmail, you can sue for the breach of contract to THAT date and sue for back payment of anything they've claimed since then. (on top of the obvious things like lawyers fees and what they owe you already.
It might be a pain in the ass, but they will probably settle out of court with you for what you're owed recently plus your contract to avoid being sued for back pay from their initial breach of contract by refusing to relinquish you.

TH-cam Analytics only shows "estimated earnings" as did that screenshot of his dashboard, meaning that what he said is completely invalid.
He was held into a "lock-in" contract because many networks that offer most creators their "no lock-in" contracts also have different contracts for larger creators, which he would have agreed to when he joined.
Sub-networks are not allowed on the platform, but ContentPixel are not at fault - rather the network they're under are at fault. If TH-cam deems the network above ContentPixel to be in violation of TH-cam's policies then they make revoke their CMS or apply a different penalty.
The dashboard issue was out of ContentPixel's hands, since the dashboard was of the network above them. They would have only had network-level access to it.

... What... the actual... fuck?... The issue is that he wasn't paid the full amount he was owed. Whether that that was because of stealing or not is irrelevant (well, maybe not irrelevant, but irrelevant to whether or not they HAVE to pay him the full amount). They HAVE to pay him, regardless of any glitch, or robbery, or what have you.
***** I think the issue has more to do with the fact that he is an underaged minor, living with his parents, and obviously a little strapped for money required for court costs. He's not exactly in a good position to carry out a court case, even if his case were unbelievably solid.
My family once had to go through a 3 year court case over a rented house deposit... Even after winning both the deposit money and the court costs, it was still a massive pain in the ass.
