I’m not a racer, but if someone invites me for road rage, I was doing race with them. But after being into motofam and watching Asir Anna’s videos continuously, I stopped indulging myself into road rage. Every time I cool myself remembering the words from Asir anna. Thank you anna ❤
@motowagon Manufacturers will never include dashcam as OEM due to safety complications in the car's electrical circuit and certain other legal limitations. which is the reason for top quality dashcam's available in the market from leading third party companys.
100% agreed to have a dashcam in the car for all the reasons discussed in this episode :)
I prefer a dual camera, with GPS to record vehicle speed.
A critical point missed in the discussion is the use of a proper SD card. There are SD cards specific to Dashcams, it is important to choose these models.
Problems with normal SD cards which is not designed for dashcams is, it will over heat in less than 15mins. and this will disable recording until the card cools down, which may take several hours based on physical conditions.

Very informative to daily road users.! it’s very important to have dash cams to prove your side right. there are people eyeing cars to steal money putting scripted faults.
Lorries are the lifeline of our economy. Although heavy vehicles are supposed to be driven on the left lane, it is not practical for lorries to be dangling with two wheelers and jaywalkers. They need to focus on fuel economy and load safety hence they can't apply brakes or make sharp turns. Lorry drivers are driving under very harsh conditions with lot of limitations. We need to understand their situation and constraints and we should help them as much as possible.
We respect them but right lane is for fast vehicles...we have to do S driving due to these lorries creating accidents
Hi, even in chennai city traffic, I see many commercial vehicles like mini truck with heavy loads slowly driving in right side so cool..😭 disturbing every daily commuters.
Not only in chennai this issue exists in all over TN especially in highways

Car buying must be customised, should provide option to pick what we need..eg sunroof, dashcam, led light, DRL, ventilated seats, airbags, subwoofers etc ..
Dashcam must be fitted from manufacturer and must be compulsory for applying insurance policy.

Does aftermarket dashcam installation voids the car warrenty? Specially new cars people go for dashcam. Please advise.
Wiring and itbshould not tamper the warranty... more over it takes the main power socket so manufacturer can give the wiring slot by default so customers can by the cam and just plug n play...

Wow what a enlightening video.Oru self defense kaaga kekuren can we keep metal rod for defense purpose in our cars when unknown persons easily targets us and ready for road rage.Road side rowdies especially in ECR ,Kasimedu ,coastal area la neraiya thapu nadunthu iruku but never came limelight anywhere in media.Even in bengaluru Karnataka la becos of too much people migration Kannadigas target Tamil people or TN registration vehicle.Dash Cam can also record if traffic police does road side money laundering.

In this regard I like very much about traffic rules & discipline in America. All are well educated about traffic rules. No honking unnecessarily. Respect to the pedestrian crossing are few to mention. Our government should tighten the traffic rules. Police only concentrate on helmet and seatbelt. This is not enough.
I had a very bad time when driving to madurai from Chennai. The trucks move in all lanes by not giving way to cars. Disgusting!

By buying these accessories, will there be any problem in claiming insurance since these are not factory fitted? Is there chance for insurance company to reject claim if any problem happened in car due to dashcam?

This has happened to me, near panruti to kadamulliur area is the worst area. As you said people in that area for money they make run goat, cow and elderly guys. One day One guy from siruthondamadevi village hit my car in side by his bike and started fighting with you. I am fighting with three guys and they try to attach my family elderly people, and try to attach me. i have called the police and they finally get 5000 rupees from me. For money they do anything. Those 3 guys are real thev***ya pasanga. It is not only case, it happen for more people travelling in that road bealt.
Worst area and worst people in those areas. We need to fix the dash cam for sure

Suggestions for next podcast.. OEM not providing leathers seats even for top end variants and making customer to choose after market leather seats? Also is it necessary? Are fabric and leatherette seats cleanable?
Leather seats are not suitable for Hot Indian Climate. Requires regular care as well. Fabric/Leatherette material is better suited I guess
Bro is there any specific reason why Car manufacturers are not including in car by default. Where we can have better implementation and quality.

The KIA service centre in Coimbatore removed the dashcam connection and went for a 5 KM trial, which is unnecessary. I don’t know if it was a trial or if they just took it for another reason. The Dashcam is very helpful in other circumstances, but it’s helpless when it comes to service centres.

This is a must topic to talk about. Thanks for your podcast. I have the 70MAI Dashcam installed in my Kia Seltos, but I did not do the external hard wiring that goes into the fuse. I left my car for service at the Coimbatore KIA service centre, and they removed the Dashcam from the 12V power when they took the vehicle inside the workshop. When I asked them why, they responded, “Dashcam or Camera recording is not allowed”, but I’m not sure if they have it written in their terms and conditions. I did not argue about it too much, but I’m concerned if they treat our cars well. I’m planning to hard wire the connection, but I’m afraid they will either damage it or remove the power connection directly on the cam inside the workshop. I would appreciate any advice you can give me! Thanks.

Honda city ADAS does steering correction and collision mitigation breaking as well! Dashcam adas systems can't do that! They can just give audio video warning! They can't do corrective action!
Dashcam is a great safety feature. Why car manufacturers not even considering giving this even in top end models? Just matter of maximum 20k

I faced many instances like the two wheeler coming in suddenly which scared me to the core. But, by god's grace nothing happened..
The problem is not many OEMs provide a separate provision for installation of a dashcam. When people do it from aftermarket and if there is any issue the dealers would straight away disqualifies the warranty. I think it is time for all OEMs to consider providing it as a dealer level accessory with proper warranty
Dashcam is mandatory. I don’t feel it as an accessory. Safety is important. Namma safety is more important than vehicle safety.
