It's not the fact that he has won against Magnus that means he is special.
Magnus is not invincible, actually no one is in chess.
It's more the fact that Dubov is playing with a very creative attacking style and as Magnus also goes often for wins instead of solid games or just looking for draws. He is even less risk averse than Magnus I d say and goes for WTF moves (which don't end up well for him so he should be more careful sometimes but as a spectator, it's just awesome to see such adventurous moves)
Almost all super GM has won at least one game against him. Doesn't mean of course they re better.

Na8 forced queen to escape and then the nd4 was lost for white. That's why he resigned. Qc5 pb6, queen had to escape, and the nd4 gone.
He could still put the knight on c6 but then rook d1 check, so rook h1xd1 and then queen h2 and everything would have been bad for white.

When you switch from "what" to "why" it will stop feeling like things you learned in history class and start feeling more like the muscle memory you develop for something like skiing. The good news for someone good at math is they can probably derive all the formulas during the test. The bad news is their memory likely sucks and they have to. Remembering games is analogous.

After the Queen retreats to c5, black plays b6 attacking the queen. At that point the queen has no squares to move to that still defend the knight on d4, so white loses a piece. I think Dubov said he was nervous that there might be some tricks to continue, but he couldn't see them.
