That was the smartest getaway tactic I have ever seen! Used Airwolf like a fixed wing craft and used the turbos for a rocket powered takeoff like a runway!
I agree with you sir 100% that was the coolest scene I ever saw in the entire series 181 arrow did the turbo launch basically from brown she basically took off like an airplane that’s what the people in the air forgot Airwolf is not just a helicopter is a jet with rotors
The turbos going as soon as he lands the lady and then the scenes of the lady going while bombing are one of the best ones form the entire series. Also the fact that the visor closed to protect the pilot from blinding lights from the explosions was a nice touch. We just don't make series like this any more. RIP Jan-Michael, Ernest, Alex, and of course, the lady Airwolf. You all are now flying together up there in heaven.
When the HUD visor comes down still get me!! As a kid this episode had me on the edge of my seat fingers crossed for the "The Lady" and string to pull through!! Music, suspense, explosion's and the distinct howl amazing episode!!
and new rotor blades and turbine impellers... that would be like flying through a volcano. Why the hell didn't he just wait after he saw where the first bomb was dropped, then fly through when they were done?
LOL "I was born in that briar patch" from the toon movie "Song of the South" with briar rabbit, briar fox, and briar bear. Rabbit pleads not to be put in the briar patch and they escaped the fox and bear, saying he was born in that briar patch.
Firing Airwolf's turbos with her wheels still on the ground as a means to escape has to be one of the best stunts from the 80s; because, I do not think it has been replicated on any tv show or big screen movie in all these years since then.
@@krisgordon3116 Speedwise, they could. F-4 does just over Mach 2, Airwolf did Mach 1. But the Lady has them in maneuverability, being bulletproof, and String was a badass.
Airwolf. Street Hawk. Knight Rider. That's all I need! I'm set. @facts. This is my best scene of all. 2022. Let's go! Stringfellow Hawk forever! Dom, as well. Dom kept Hawk clear minded. Miss real type time tv shows, and movies. Hell... Music included. Smfh!
As a kid that was an awesome scene. As an adult who spent his childhood studying aircraft and how the engines worked, Those engines were gonna need a massive amount of maintenance from all the debris. The rotors and engines were gonna be chipped if not totally scratched. Glad it was fiction.
there is no way in the known Airwolf universe those choppers could even come close to keeping up with Airwolf or even be a threat. String could out run them, out fly them, out gun them and fly higher than them. This is just great choreography covering up bad writing. Plus Airwolf does have limited stealth capabilities, so String could have just disappeared off of their RADAR.
4:41 - If I was the Officier, I would have told Nash he was under arrest for disobayibng a direct order and violating the chain of command, thumped him in self defense, grabbewd the mic and sent the recall, tellinggthe bombers to ignore any countermand, due to the presence of a non milotary aircraft in the drop zone.
Lifting off for the chase as bogart tops the cat on a high but STRINGS determined to fly with landing gear down with cross sections in place a very dangerous move come an get me
Tell me, when Hawke and Dom were talking about someone tipping Bogard off about making the switch to Airwolf's location, who were they referring to? Was it Nash? It sounded more like they were talking about Archangel but sure Archangel didn't want Bogard to find Airwolf but then he had the authority and sources to find out that information about the switch, unless Archangel had to play along and tell Bogard because technically Archangel is supposed to be looking for Airwolf as it's his job to find it for the firm's benefit but also keeping the secret that he's actually helping Hawke and Dom in using Airwolf without the firm knowing? Archangel more or less told String, while you have Airwolf the firm must find your brother in order for Airwolf to be returned but at the same time he's trying to help the firm by helping Hawke find his brother and if Archangel thought that there was a chance to get Airwolf back he'd take it. So was it Nash that tipped Bogard off or was it Archangel?
richard durham Thanks, I wasn't so sure before and I even thought it was the girl who Dom picked up at one point as well until at the end when you realise she was in the clear. Nice, I bought the season 1-3 Blu Ray boxset of Amazon last year, it was great to re-watch all the episodes again as I hadn't seen Airwolf for years beforehand. I didn't bother much with season 4.
D77X Superb! Up close you can notice a slight bit of grain as you would expect from the footage being in the 80's but overall it's still very good! The picture is still in 4.3 format but I just use the features on my Blu Ray player to zoom in the picture to fit the TV screen to 16.9, however doing this will show up the grain more but sitting back from the TV you'll not notice it much. In a nutshell tho I think they've done a good job bringing the transfer over onto Blu Ray, I can't see a huge reason as such why you'd be disappointed with watching it on Blu Ray, the detail on the overall footage is good. 👍
That turbo take off is one of the coolest scene in the show. Always loved that.
And that shot of The Lady after she emerges from the bombing run....
That was the smartest getaway tactic I have ever seen! Used Airwolf like a fixed wing craft and used the turbos for a rocket powered takeoff like a runway!
Soo cool that it became part of the opening

There is no or ever had been a Department of Public Security.
BUT... there is now a DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY.
This will never get old. I love this show.
Happy birthday to Airwolf and it is 40 anniversary of the tv show rhis year
"I was born in that briar patch!" That was the line I came here for. Thank you WFTN TV. :)

Yes the Turbo Escape Scene from The Boneyard is my all time favourite Airwolf moment. Awesome...
Lance LeGault couldn't catch the A-Team and he definetly couldn't catch Hawke and Airwolf.
Or KITT 😅
Easily one of the top 5 scenes in the show alongside RedStar, Killing Moffett, the Nuke Chasing scene from S3, and dumping the Lady out of a plane.
According to my DVDs there were only 4
@@williammitchell4417 I think he said "scenes", not "seasons".
and I bet i am not the only person jumping around the room wat5ching this for the first time!! I was cheering and dancing fit to burst!
My memoy is of the way. I saw it when it first aired. Love Sylvester's orchestration. The only one I know of the Modern Day is Bear McCreary
RIP Hawke we will miss you......
And to the Lady and then later Dom🙏
It seems like Lance LeGault was in every great tv show from the 80's.
With his voice he was even in cartoons
Airwolf: Hawk.... When we get back to the lair can I have a full copter wash complete with detailing and a lavender oil tire soak? xD
The King Of Waffles -they were government, and he’s not a killer.
and new rotor blades and turbine impellers... that would be like flying through a volcano.
Why the hell didn't he just wait after he saw where the first bomb was dropped, then fly through when they were done?
Love this show Airwolf RULES
“You killed Hawke!!” is superb Ernest acting 👌

Jet and chopper porn for us 80s kids then. Simply awesome and unforgettable!! RIP to all the actors who made us kids happy with their performances.
Now that's the video I was looking for!! Love it!!

The only other show that featured rocket assist on 2 wheels was Street Hawk. But Airwolf had 3 wheels.
"We have the target, and will stay with him."
It's cute, that you think that.
Like a pair of F-4s could get String and the Lady
@@krisgordon3116 Speedwise, they could. F-4 does just over Mach 2, Airwolf did Mach 1. But the Lady has them in maneuverability, being bulletproof, and String was a badass.
@@specialk9424 Righto, that's what I meant. Two rando Phantoms are NOT going to be the ones to get String and The Lady
im not sure that Airwolf *couldn't* do Mach 2.. it certainly can in XPlane...
Hawke: I was born in that brier I patch!!

Man, I loved Street Hawk. Gone after just a few shows. Like Airwolf it was a great show & theme music, too.
This time the visor goes down, and no aircraft is destroyed!!
Airwolf was the BEST with Jan Michael Vincent & Ernest Borgnine. Without them, the show isn't the same.
Yess i agree😊
My favorite scene from the series!

Brilliant what's the 70s 80s and 50s William wade 😁👍😊
Oh no not Colonel Decker again.
.....and his targets still gets away from him
80's equivalent to Wiley Coyote
Yeah and Hannibal was probably watching this at the time smoking his cigar saying "I Love it when a plan comes together" 😂😂
That guy's the worst eh😆
The Lady comes out without a scratch, AGAIN! Airwolf was built to dish out and take punishment!

Like how they put moffetts theme song in the mix
Decker is everywhere.. He made the a team a hard life.. Now hawk.. But he was never clever as the awesome guys.. 😉
And was one of Magnum’s adversaries too.
Lance LeGault He voiced the opening narrator to File a56-7w know as AIRWOLF.
He was also the Sheriff in Sweet Britches
Yess😊😊
3:42 The stunt pilot cleared the ridge by just a couple of feet.
The best part of this episode
"It's a bluff.. He will pull out" He should have listened to the 16 year old girls, telling him, Boys don't bluff about that kind of thing
Would be nice if you could make it full screen.
2:30から始まるシーンがスリルあったなぁ。「ドミニク、どこかへ避難しろ!ボガードの猟犬どもに追われてそっちへ向かってる。」このホークの台詞からも明らか!
lol - laugh out loud.Airwolf # 1 thumb up
Best show ever made
What an awesome show.
This is why i despise colonel Decker.
Extraño Mucho Esta Serie En Mi Pais Colombia
Airwolf the GOAT and Knight rider the GOAT
we have him! his choice live or die! 👍👍👍👍👍
The blow back with a backlash
The pilots in this show were excellent, a lot of the stuff they did your taught not to do.
Bring her home to New York
5:42 Hawks like come at me bitches
Isn't that The guy that was after the A team DECKER
😅😅😅😅well information good show you 😅😅
What's Colonel Decker doing in Airwolf 😳
Any possibility to redo these fullscreen?
you really underestimate hawk and airwolf but good thing so much dust to the intake doesnt comprimise the engine

Airwolf remember me always remember me
Colonel Decker wanted Airwolf to take down The A-Team!
No one can replace jan michael vincent with Airwolf they r one.
Ok Bogart come and get me
This very episode made me fall completely in love with the lady I knew she was a thick skin helicopter but Jesus she was tough as nails

This is the funniest scene in Airwolf
A.W gun, weapons sytems must have had voice command as well as manual
Hawk ran because he is not a killer
They caught him in a good mood. He blew people up for less.
Those choppers are unarmed
Mill Creek Entertainment released the Complete Series on Blu-ray.
Save the SS United States ship in New Jersey . Mary Babiec
Only thing wrong with this scene is airwolf would be 100s of miles infront of them helicopters at Mach 1 plus
To bad this wasn't in FULL SCREEN!!!!!
BAD ASS!!!!
zo good
What was the point of the bombing and flying through it???
As he knew that the helicopters chasing him wouldn’t follow him in their as he didn’t want bogart to get his hands on airwolf
Anyone knows where i can find this serie that isnt on Retroseries?
, Walmart has the compete series on dvd
I believe it's either 24.99 or 29.99
Free on peacock network, if you're based in the us or use a vpn
