Loved how in this episode he emptied the chainguns making sure the villain was dead, same way he emptied the adf pod when he killed Moffet in the pilot episode after Moffet killed Gabrielle
Oh no, the dogfight when String and Dom evade those two F18's when that girl held Kaitlin hostage in Dom's helicopter was one of the best dogfights of the series. The dogfight between String and his p.o.w. brother's ex buddy in HX1 was another good dogfight.
@@christopherscott5567 the episode regarding when String goes up against his former buddy is called HX1. That was the helicopter that went up against Airwolf, and I don't remember what the name of the episode is.
Yeah, well. That was the episode where Airwolf wasn't at her best since she really needed an overhaul, but could not since she's supposed to be a secret and all thus only String and Dom could maintain her.
But season 3 she seems well seasoned. Like season one Dom was scared to death to fly her in one way express. Come season 2 he is like a vet using turbos blowing things up. Alot of inconsistency
I love how this Corsair has several rockets and missiles yet theres literally nothing mounted on it. I love the 80's. Just believe. Also why are people having feelings for someone who was literally just tried to murder them?
Caitlyn's job was a lonely one prior to String coming into her world. But yeah, better alone and breathing vs. be a victim of a guy who murdered several people just to try and murder a millionaire for profit.
This show mounted guided missiles to anything that flew.. Blue Thunder did as well. As for sidewinders.. in reality , at least the old variants dont have much of an interface with the plane itself.. only the firing trigger and the "growl" tone sound wich is linked directly to the missile seeker .. you just point it at the target and once the growl tone pitches up it means the seeker is seeing a heat source and you fire and it does the rest.. no need for complex interfaces , except the cooling system for the seeker .. sidewinders were also mounted even in OH-58 helicopters wich have much less payload than the Corsair
I kinda always wanted the Corsair to win here...Old “Robert” was pretty slick as an assassin after all. The Corsair is still active with the Planes of Fame museum out in Chino; funny to see the “Mach 1” helicopter chasing it...looks like nearly full flaps on the Corsair in a few of those scenes. At least he got semi-close...Hawk was the MAN! RIP JMV and EB
Airwolf was originally conceived as a Magnum P.I. episode by Magnum producer Donald Belisario. They found they couldn't do it as a single episode (too expensive) and realized they'd need to do it as its own show with its own budget.
