Most of the privileges I listed are examples people are born with, but they can also be attained. Class privilege, education privilege, pretty privilege, worldly privilege, thin privilege, and ofc, polyglot privilege. That's just a fraction of the list you can stack!
This is a huge one often overlooked. I love language and etymology. Have you seen those Xiaomanyc compilation videos? The way people's entire demeanor changes when you can speak even just a few words in their language! It humanizes you instantly to natives and you can have the most genuine, beautiful experiences with people from all over the world. I'm a native English speaker learning to speak French and studying Ancient Greek and Latin. I listen to Harry Potter audio books in my target languages as well! They are my all time favorite ❤️ my life goal is to be a sports commentator for Formula One racing, and French is a dominant language in the organization, so I figured it might give me a considerable advantage. Privilege Stacking is the secret to achieving those "moon shot" goals that people think are impossible... but nothing is impossible. You just have to be strategic and tenacious. We really are limitless ✨
@@Exotical_Muse Yes to all of this! I’ve never seen those videos, but I’ll look them up now that you’ve mentioned them. I love experiencing this shift in person, it’s opened so many doors for me
you just inspired me to keep learning a new language !! I am also from the Caribbean (Jamaican) and my family is mixed with both black, white and Asian descent. I look mainly blasian, and I’ve always wanted to learn mandarin, since my family has roots in china. But I think I should probably work on my patois first lol 😆
@@istril9107 Yay!!!!! This makes me so happy! Mandarin is a wise option, and learning a language so different from your own facilitates learning others There’s an IG page called Chatt Patwah for JA language learning 💛💚🖤
Woww you just changed my perspective. I was about to watch new shows and movies in the Spanish language to assist with me learning and re-learning the language. I can just watch shows and movies I saw already, especially that I watched multiple times that I enjoy since I already really know it in English. About to start with watching Mean Girls in Spanish 😍😂 THANK YOU.
