Hard to believe a storm like that traveled from the Australian region into the southwest Indian Ocean and was able to maintain major typhoon status. All I got to say is I wish the best for Madagascar and hopefully Freddy weakens enough so the devastation won’t be as bad.

@@BabspzhzpKLal the thing is that i don't keep up with the Australian region, Indian ocean, SW Indian ocean and south pacific especially how storms track during the months when those areas are in season. I'm an American and i typically keep up with the Atlantic and EPAC mostly(if you know what i mean)

Alphakid, (sorry for my bad english) I am now flying Mauritius - Dubai, then Dubai- Turkey. I was on a vacation, my flight on 22nd was cancelled. Our guide told us there are expected to be heavy flooding on the island, BOARD UP your windows to avoid flying debris, IF you have a garage the CAR should be INSIDE the GARAGE. Stay safe.

It peaked as a Cat. 5 several hours ago with winds of 165mph and a pressure of around 928mb. That is JTWC's estimates and honestly, I'm on board with that.
