Omg I know exactly what you mean and thought I was the only one who felt that way. I get so excited when one of my fav rappers from a group I like gets to do a solo album because I think they can finally show their full potential as a rapper without having to share the song and only have a couple lines and then they totally do something different like an r&b song or slow song with little to no rapping. I totally get wanting to experiment and try something different so I'm in no way hating on anyone, just that when you have a talented rapper who's all about hip-hop, rapping and loves everything about the genre and then comes out with something completely different it throws you off and as a huge hip-hop fan I'm bummed when they finally get a solo and then don't do any rapping. This doesn't apply to every idol rapper, but there has been a lot of them.
