Second time in a row that I am able to tidy a bit and then add a little more to my plate. I'm trying so hard to overcome my crazy messiness, and I have been failing more than gaining. I am so excited to be moving forward in a positive direction!! #cleanwithme #cleaningmotivation

I can’t sit down and relax at night until the after dinner mess has been cleaned and my kitchen is spotless
@colleenspinner3361 I wish I had the energy for this. By evening I am dead tired. Sometimes it's so bad, I've been starting to make supper earlier in the day while I have energy.
Ex military here and single mom. You have 3 assets in your home right now. You son can be responsible for making sure that the dining table is set for dinner each night and is cleared off after the meal. Your 2 girls are responsible for cleaning up the kitchen at the end of each day. If you cook .... then they can clean up afterwards. All 3 are responsible for picking up the living room area before bedtime. Of course, they are all responsible for their rooms. Their bedrooms are to be straightened out before going anywhere on the weekends. If they share a bathroom, each sibling will take turns cleaning the bathroom once a week. (If necessary, post a "duty" schedule on the back of the bathroom door so there is no argument as to whose turn it is to clean the bathroom.) They are responsible for folding and putting away their own clothes. Absolutely, positively, NO excuses. This leaves you with the laundry and the master bedroom and any other common areas. You choose 1 day a week or even just one afternoon a week for your time to spend on you - even if it's just to sit on the sofa with a pitcher of ice tea and a book or to go shopping or to spend time on a hobby or to have a few friends in for coffee and cake. The three kids are responsible for dinner on that day even if it's just macaroni and cheese and hot dogs. (If they order a pizza, etc. for the family dinner that night, they have to use their own money) Woman, you are their mother NOT their maid. You're running yourself ragged.

I couldn't agree with you more but this is her TH-cam channel and she has to make money on this channel. She needs to have something to film. If the house was clean all the time then there wouldn't be anything to film. Sometimes, I think that they tell the kids to make a mess and walk away. I also think people stage a big mess so they can clean it up on camera without the kids. I just can't imagine living like this everyday. Filthiness would drive me insane. My kids growing up KNEW the rules of keeping a clean house. My daughter is 32 and my son is 29 and they keep a better house than I do now. My son's room was ALWAYS spotless.
What a nasty comment! If you think her house is 'filthy' then youre the one with the problem here. Not everyone likes to treat their children like little slaves or have them walking on eggshells because their mom has OCD when it comes to cleaning! And your other ignorant ASSumption that she 'has' to make money on youtube.... lol lol.. try making your own video and channel and see how easy that is. If you think one video pays not only the hours she had cleaned plus the hours editing a video youd be extremely deluded. Hi Beth - I've really been enjoying your channel and how you keep it real. I gotta say that your plan to just stay on top of your kitchen and living room is a great idea. Over time, you'll likely feel less overwhelm if you know there are 2 areas in your home that are always "under control". It will also free you up to tackle other areas that need more attention on any given day. It doesn't have to be perfect, but if you know you are keeping your counters clear, dishes done, living room picked up and tidied every day - you'll be ahead of the game! I'm rooting for you and I know you can do it. You deserve the peace of mind that comes with knowing you don't have to be overwhelmed by tasks in the house all the time.
Thank you! I really like this plan too. Plus these too spaces are the vast majority of the visual space in my house so I’ll kind of feel like I’m living in a clean house and it will bleed over into the other areas.

Try using the tub of Pink Stuff that's on your table for the onion stain? Pink stuff works really well, especially marks on paint, walls & doors, skirting boards etc...

I use a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser on my white shelves like yours. They work very well.
Try a magick eraser on that shelf from the onion. Also done forget it may have dripped to the underside of the shelf. Have a great day 😀

I was watching cleaning channels where their house was perfect. It made me feel worse. I have been very sad having to ask the love of my life to leave due to his drinking. I have been sad and overwhelmed. My house got to be a disaster. So my shame was immense. You are now my favorite cleaning, motivation channel. Thank you for being honest and real. I feel this! My situation was completely different. I was depressed, and I could barely make myself get out of bed. So, I didn't clean anything. Once you do though, it gets better a little bit at a time. Hang in there! It takes time. I'm cheering you on!

Your house will continue to look like this until you learn to set boundaries and hold the other members of your family responsible and accountable. You need clear rules, assigned chores, and consequences for noncompliance. It may take family therapy to sort it out.

you need to get them cans and they have onion stains on them.
For years I used the cleaning products and tools my mother used whether they were effective or not. Only in the past 5 years have I actually purchased good cleaning tools and experimented with different products. I think a scrubber and a mild abrasive would have saved you some time. PS - not an insult. You work so hard.
I don’t feel insulted at all! I was so focused on getting the slimy stuff up because of the smell that I didn’t think to use my scrubber. I am going to go back with it and the cleaner that was recommended to see if it helps!
Beth I'm creasing up at Leeroy and Casha tippy toe backing up every time you spin round and look at them when you're doing the dishes, have they been watching the Exorcist?🤣Another great video! I do think you're progressing, moving away from the all or nothing cleans is the key you've found, it's going to unlock a lot of door that will lead to more manageable house keeping habits, your home will be tidier and you'll be less overwhelmed.
They know they’re not allowed in the kitchen but they always endeavor to be in the fricking kitchen with me. It doesn’t help that Sweet Potato is allowed in there. Rules for thee but not for she!

As a mother of 3 I made them do chores.they learn that as young as 4 or 5. We played the clean-up game. you have to make them more responsible and aware that you make the mess you clean it. There are not babies! They are fully aware of what they doing plus it is so disrespectful that they don't see the hard work you do to keeping everyone space as clean as possible! For them. And for them to turn around and mess it up 😢. It eventually make you feel like you do because you can't see the end result. Plus it's no help. Once you've had enough and start making them feel responsible for their actions and mess it will make you feel 💯 better and you will do better

I have never understood washing dishes before putting them in the dishwasher. If you're going to wash them before adding them in the dishwasher you might as well go ahead and wash them by hand. Just seems like a waste of water to me.

Almost all cleaners, work perfectly if you just LET THEM SIT on stain for 30 minutes...stain in pantry may have been removed if you would have been patient

You are doing it the right way and everyday if you did your main areas then do a quick tidy of your added on room then add another room keep doing this everyday and before you know it you will be able to keep on top of your house even if you only add an additional room once a month you need to do it in a way that makes sense to you

I never store perishables like onions, potatoes or even bread in my pantry- it's way too easy to overlook them, and then you have a gross mess like you had today. Maybe keep those on the counter?

@@feraltradwife I believe it was. I didn't keep the dang tick. I did video it. It looks like a Deer Tick, It is day 24 since the bite, The bite location is still not healed. It blistered and I think it had the Bulls eye but it is in the crease of my knee. I think I may need to get doxycycline or something to get past it for good. I just never do well with big pharma.
I am going to start a vitamin C flush to get rid of this fatigue and exhaustion.

As big as your island is, I'm surprised your builder didn't put your bar stools. This is my opinion only but sometimes kids want you to tell them hey let's go ahead and work together and get this house clean. Kids don't want to walk around in a house that is cluttered, unclean, unkept. Make it a game with them, set a timer and see who can get the most done and to say 20 minutes. I know you have a channel and I know you want to make money off of TH-cam but sometimes kids need that direction. Plus, if you leave food out you're going to have rats, roaches and ants. They will find your food eventually.
The other side of the island also has storage. I would have preferred stools but I am not the original builder

In reference to the onion stains...have you heard of Krud Kutter? I get mine from Amazon. This stuff is magic. So not to be gross, but the bottom of the toilet seat was stained. I have used everything from bar keepers friend 6:32 , to straight bleach. Nothing worked. I sprayed the Krud Kutter on there, and it all just
melted off. I love this stuff.

I finally have days off, and there are too many things I want to do that I don't think I can do them all, and I'm struggling to even do any of them because I can't even decide on one of them lol. Do you ever feel this way?

So I would love to do that. But the humidity will make my home really damp. And excessively hot. The cost to cool my house down is extremely high so it is too expensive to air out in the summer. Also we have tiny bitting gnats that can come through our screens and it’s terrible and itchy.
In the winter I do open my windows. But in the early spring to fall it’s air conditioning all the time.
I've been watching your videos for a few weeks now.. and I have a few questions. Does the label "tradwife" mean your kids have no responsibilities? Because they are not toddlers but seem to make the majority of the messes, walk away, because someone else will clean it up. They could definitely be helping you more than they do. My 10 yo cleans his own bathroom, wipes down surfaces, and rinses dishes and loads the dishwasher. Everyone folds and puts away their own clothes.
Not at all :) my kids have responsibilities but they do not preform their chores on camera. I have decided to limit their exposure on TH-cam and they have final say on any footage that they are shown in.
If we were completely honest….the majority of the mess is probably mine. I’m a hugely messy human but I’m trying to improve.

@@lauramitchell6725 it’s “traditional wife” someone who stays home like back in the day. It’s often used as a negative thing, like we are stupid for not chasing a career. I am a traditional wife, but not a great one as we can all see! But I am trying to be more domestic :)
I don’t understand this mess. The kids need to pick up for themselves as soon as they make the mess. Start them at a very early age and be consistent. It shouldn’t be all on the mom. Also, if there is a dad in the picture…..I don’t care how many hours he works he needs to do his share and enforce these rules of picking up. It looks like no one is picking up….. You do look like your house is big and beautiful. You are very fortunate to have this big ,beautiful house. I hope things get better for you. Remember to stay consistent with the children. Moms should not be doing it all.👍☮️

Just in case: I totally agree that saying on top of kitchen and living room will be so helpful. Plus it’s the majority of the visual space so I feel like I live in a clean home, which makes me tidy the other areas here and there because they don’t match the tidy….. if that makes sense
