I have been known to take newer gloves and hold them under the electric hand dryer for 5-10 minutes before going on the ice, leaving the internals are nice and soft at puck drop. As the game goes on, the sweat and body heat help to keep the break reasonably loose. The last new glove I broke in needed that treatment about 7-8 times before I felt it was "close enough" to not need reheating prior to games.
I couldn't brake my past 2 ccm gloves with any method, so my current glove is brian's gnetikV. No more screwing around, this glove is perfect out of the box.

i have ccm eflex 3.5 600 break,and i done everything that i can, soaked with water, closed with rope, putted weight on it, pucks and sticks into it. Also im using that glove 3 times a week, but just when it gets dry from the sweat, again glove becomes hard to close .Im thinking about just selling the glove and getting a new one, because it got to the point where it really gets frustrating that i just cannot break the glove.
From what I've seen, 600s, and ccm 600s in particular are very tricky to break in properly, so it could be that the glove just isn't right for you. However, I have a Bauer 590 break glove and it does a similar thing. If I pick it up after it has completely dried from a game, it feels quite stiff, especially for a mid-level model that doesn't have much padding. The difference here though, is that once it gets up to my body heat, it opens and closes quite easily, and is ready to go before warm up ends. It doesn't matter how loose your glove is dry and cold, it only matters how it performs when the puck drops, but if you really just don't like the glove, then sell it and get one you do like. I would stay away from CCM when buying new, as the quality of their gear is not so good, but other than that just find something you like and take care of it well. You will enjoy the game more if you don't hate your gear.
Agree with "yes sir" and appreciate them sharing that. We've had plenty of CCM gloves of all breaks and no issues - but definitely if they dry out too much they are less than ideal...we've put a bit of water in there though before hitting the ice and things get better for us pretty quick.
A skate oven is at 120-150 degrees Have it set and wait for the heat to be at that setting once beeper goes turn off the over so the heating coil doesn’t come on . Leave glove for 5-7 minutes . Good 👍🏻 Or use hot water for break in then wrap puck in palm and tie shut wait till dry golden !!
I reached out to Vaughn when I got my custom v9 pc in about the baking since I did it with my 7800. They said 170 degrees for 10 mins and pulled it out and just opened and closed it till it was cool. I’d say it took about 2 skates and felt super broke in. I did used to work for a retail store and steamed baseball gloves on the regular as well so not completely green to this type of break in and did even steam some goalie gloves.
@@InGoalMedia also would recommend when doing so to wet a wash cloth and wipe down the glove and I placed an old towel on a cookie sheet and wet the towel and set the glove open with the face pointing down to not stress the glove. And just let it warm. At 10 mins I put the glove on and did the strapping the way I wanted it and just open and close normally until it’s cool and should be set.
I used a Conair steamer that you would use for getting wrinkles out of clothes. Put the glove on and heated up the palm area and just threw a puck to myself, when I felt the glove cool down, hit it with more steam. Produced excellent results.

My son is going from a CCM youth to a Brians used junior glove, is is slightly broken in but my son find it gard to close all the way he has small hands so im not sure if its a strength issue or a broken in issue I did try it on and it does seem alittle challenging to get a good close, Im going to try putting a puck in the crease and taping it shut and other suggestions that people found helped would be great
I just go to practice with the unbroken in glove and have my coach shoot at my glove also are the lizard skin gloves washable because when I play my gloves start to smell a lot and if I wear it it won’t make my glove smell but the lizard skin glove

Don't use a regular oven. The bake setting usually starts at 170 degrees Fahrenheit (78 Celsius), which might ruin your trapper if you leave it in at the same length of time as a skate oven. Broil setting starts at 450 degrees Fahrenheit (232 Celsius), which will probably singe the top layer of nylon or synthetic leather and melt any internal plastic.
DEFINITELY not on broil and while we strongly advise you use a skate oven we have used a regular oven on 170 dozens of times. We keep the time short (5 min).
I can vouch for the regular oven… remove the top rack, line the center rack with foil so you don’t stain your glove if there’s grease on the rack. Set the oven to 170 F then shut it off (convection setting is best, which is what a skate oven is). Open the oven and put your glove on the foil…. Close the oven back up and wait 5-7 minutes or so, this isn’t rocket science. The glove will be slightly warm when it comes out, but not nearly enough to damage anything. I just did this with my warrior G4, and it’s great! DO NOT USE THE BROILER!( this activates a high heat element right above the racks).
Well we agree - we're big Brian's fans - and have mentioned what they do in the factory before but at the same time, everyone's idea of what fully broken in can be different.

After several months of frustration trying to break in my Brown catcher I used the hot water/weight combination. It worked like a charm overnight.

I use the same method but i actually add some handball stick to my lizardskin glove to get that extra grip inside the glove so it dosen't get slippery

Small hot damp towel ,leave in palm and wrap it tight over night .
I usually put it in like a bath tub and just try to get the inside wet so I kind of have a better feel for it and just open and close for a little bit
I do cams way. But I use a rubber mallet and hammer away at all parts of the palm,finger and pocket.

Don’t pro gloves come broken in right out of the box? I have never really had issues closing my gloves
Does a sauna work good if I can stay in it with the glove and check up on it so that it does not burn?
