This is great scene, but I think it was the right call to not have it in the movie. Not that it’s bad. By far it adds character and depth, for both Peter and Miles. Explaining the Baggage of the being Spider-Man, but ultimately it’s what you do with it that matters. And that’s the thing. I feel like it’s spoon feeding what Miles needs to do, while in the original movie Miles figures out. Yes Peter says the “Leap of Faith” in the movie, but he doesn’t spell it out for Miles, he leaves him to figure out those words. I feel likes it’s more empowering that way. Dom of the Doctor not only that, having this scene and then immediately following it up with another scene of his father’s approval wouldn’t work. The approval needs to come from Miles’s father because he’s the person in his life, more than anyone else, who previously tried to change who Miles was. The approval of his father to be himself, the one thing Miles was missing, needs to be the final thing that brings him to become Spider-Man.
the line "You can't think about saving the whole world. You have to think about saving one person" goes so well with the new movie as miles wants to save his dad and Miguel won't let him because he is to focused of saving the world. I love it when movies tie together like this.
I kinda hope that they find a way to sneak in Peter saying "YES! THAT WAS EMOTIONAL!" in the next project related to this. Kinda like the leap of faith line.
i like how this scene was removed but the message was still kept in the movie, and miles quite gets it by the second movie when miguel catches him, saying "imma do my own thing." he learns it on his own with guidance from peter, not being spoonfed by him, and that makes him so much more likable as a character. he's still learning and trying to understand and he actually does so on his own, at his own pace, making mistakes along the way. love how he's built up
I like it this way too. I understood why this scene (and therefore the dialogue) was deleted because it was a little too on the nose. I felt watching it. It's best if the point of this was kept in the subtext behind what they're really saying, which is what's done in the final cut.
Cause it doesn’t gel well with the rest of the movie. It’s great, but with how they paced and set out everything in the final film, this would have ruined it. Also, what they talk about here, it’s conveyed through actions in the last act anyways. Like show, not tell basically
@@ruller8901 no it would be like miles didn’t learn his lesson about leap of faith then if they add it cuz remember even tho this scene was cut miles learn about the leap of faith line already so why add a scene where Peter teaching him that again

I really like that scene. Interesting that the "Leap of faith" line was originally going to be put earlier in the film (makes me wonder now what they had in mind at one point before the What's Up Danger scene) and I like how Peter congratulated himself at the end.
> I like how Peter congratulated himself at the end. I thought that was too on the nose and I'm happy that it was cut out of the film. Peter congratulating himself makes himself look like a self-entitled jerkass.
@@rommix0 I saw it more as the first time Peter had a heart-to-heart talk to a kid and it looked like it helped. Keep in mind, he mentioned that the thought of having kids scared him and being with Miles was sort of a test to see if he could be a good dad. Even when he sees Miles feeling low in this scene, he questions what he should say to him. I'm not disappointed that the self-congratulation was cut, but I thought it was kind of funny.
I think they wanted to address the strained relationship Miles had with his dad. You can infer the emotional bond between Miles and Peter in the original film, and it's finalized with the "Do I want kids ?" line during the final battle. But without the scene with his dad, the movie would have ended without Miles making up with his father.
This makes what miles and Peter say in across the spiderverse even better. The way that Miguel was asking the opposite of what Peter told miles to do is also great
this spoils the second movie thats why they removed it probably, remember these words "you cant think about saving the whole world. You have to think about saving one person" thats basically the whole plot for the second movie

Oooh! Oooh! Fun fact for that: That’s actually a storyboard, those are what’s used to guide the scene, it’s not just for animated films either, all movies use them. The people who made the movie adaptation of watchmen actually used the comic itself as a storyboard.
Amazing scene, totally get why it wasn’t in the movie. The “leap of faith” line would’ve been too soon. They needed ample time to set up Miles’s arc and drop the line before Miles takes his leap
This is a real touching scene and it would help with Peter B Parker’s arc about MJ and being afraid of kids. But I feel that after leaving the spider cave, Miles’ scene in the dorm room fits the tone better as well as the end of this scene’s tone would be jarring to cut to him in despair. Besides, personally I found Peter’s reveal that he doesn’t want Miles to go with for fear of him getting hurt then proving that point to him before webbing him to the chair more emotionally cohesive.
this scene is so much better w across the spider verse being out, cuz peter b tells miles to think about saving 1 person while in across the spider verse miguel tells him that you cant save just 1 person breaking his whole way of thinking also, slight spoilers peter b here says "dont do it like i did, you gotta do it like you" and in across the spider verse after miguel confronts him after the chase scene miles says "nah, imma do it my way" which this scene just gives so much more depth to
1:06 The sad part is that this Peter supposed to live through the same events of the original comic Spider-Man before the events of One More Day so. This Peter not only loses, his parents, hi Uncle and Aunt. But also Captain Stacy, Gwen Stacy, Harry Osborn, Jean Dewolf and more. So he knows what he is talking about when he said that.
Watching this back now during the new spiderverse trailers, it seems like Miles is going to try and stop his dad’s death even though it NEEDS to happen. But now, watching this, Miles is taking Peter’s advice and trying to save 1 person instead of everyone
0:50 I like how Peter B Parker repeated the "You wanna talk about that?" Twice first when he ask miles about his family and the second where miles asks him about MJ... But when Miles said the same phrase i UFF, i litterally explode in internal sad laughters for how good this scene was made xD
This scene is definitely great and it was a shame that it was cut, though the scene we got instead (in Miles' dorm) definitely set up the scene with his dad and the leap of faith much better than this could have. I remember hearing that saving one person conversation in the trailer, so this definitely gave me chills. This was such a sincere and heartfelt scene that I'm glad I at least got to see in some way or another
It partly feels like the second movie is (even if unstated) referencing this scene. Like Peter himself is very conflicted because he taught Miles being Spider-Man is about being grounded and saving the people in front of him and not considering multiversal ending implications of saving one person. It goes unstated but part of it seems to stem from Peter B. Parker having tried to help fix the "Canon" event (still call BS on that) Miguel caused and now himself not really understanding what it means to be Spider-Man anymore (or thinking he doesn't). God when all is said and done and they've completed this story arc (be it all the spider-verse and miles movies or just the first saga), I'm gonna need that supercut with all 3 movies and deleted scenes added in and new bonus scenes to tie them together more. Would totally sit the in the theater for up to 12hours to watch that.
I feel like the other scene actually fit a lot better. That scene was what made Miles realize he HAD to change or else Peter would die, as he was the one who was going to stay behind. He HAD to be able to improve and control his powers. He HAD to learn how to be Spider-Man. This scene is more just a pep-talk that seems to be used more often, which isn’t a bad thing, but what was used in the movie was a much better wake-up call.
bro “you can’t think about saving the whole world. you have to think about saving *one* person” is such foreshadowing for the 2nd movie why did they delete this
That you have to think about saving one person is coming in circle in across to the Spiderverse, it seems like Miguel might seem to be taking it a whole nother direction
I hate how the animation is incomplete and yet they’re still so life like, the animation in this movie is so insane they’re honestly just like real people

In the uncut version it took place right after miles left the spider cave
@@itsjusttammy8990 oh
I think it should have been when his uncle dies

"Think about ONE Person" That's kinda funny after across the Spider-verse
the line "You can't think about saving the whole world. You have to think about saving one person" goes so well with the new movie as miles wants to save his dad and Miguel won't let him because he is to focused of saving the world. I love it when movies tie together like this.
Miles Molars sounds like a good guy, I should meet him

I kinda hope that they find a way to sneak in Peter saying "YES! THAT WAS EMOTIONAL!" in the next project related to this. Kinda like the leap of faith line.
Kayle Mathew Comendador wait they’re making a sequel to this?
Noice
I don't, it's a funny line, and good for a deleted scene, but in the movie it would cut the emotion of the scene for a cheap laught
@@arturofernandez4058 I'm just hoping its not in a scene that's VERY integral to the plot.
OMG YES THANK YOU I NEEDED TO SEE THAT THEY WERE GONNA MAKE A SEQUEL REEEEEEEEEE
i like how this scene was removed but the message was still kept in the movie, and miles quite gets it by the second movie when miguel catches him, saying "imma do my own thing." he learns it on his own with guidance from peter, not being spoonfed by him, and that makes him so much more likable as a character. he's still learning and trying to understand and he actually does so on his own, at his own pace, making mistakes along the way. love how he's built up
I like it this way too. I understood why this scene (and therefore the dialogue) was deleted because it was a little too on the nose. I felt watching it. It's best if the point of this was kept in the subtext behind what they're really saying, which is what's done in the final cut.
Watching this after Across the Spiderverse makes me wish they left it in....
There's so much fucking foreshadowing in this scene, it's insane
Bruh why didn’t they keep this scene. It’s perfect. Especially at the end when Peter shouted “YES!!! That was emotional!”
Cause it doesn’t gel well with the rest of the movie. It’s great, but with how they paced and set out everything in the final film, this would have ruined it. Also, what they talk about here, it’s conveyed through actions in the last act anyways. Like show, not tell basically
@@prabeshgurung1067 I guess you’re right. But I would’ve enjoyed this a lot.
i think if there is a sequel, they can use this scene for emotional effect for if peter b parker dies or he leaves everyone
@@ruller8901 no it would be like miles didn’t learn his lesson about leap of faith then if they add it cuz remember even tho this scene was cut miles learn about the leap of faith line already so why add a scene where Peter teaching him that again
if miles' uncle didnt die then this would have been a great scene to have but it does lose its emotional seriousness when peter shouts " yes! that was emotional!" so i think thats why it was left out. imagine having this scene in after miles' uncle Aaron dies, it would feel terribly off. but i know @prabesh gurung already kinda said it a little. great scene to have if no one died though.
@@michaelstrong5383 I can definitely see that. For me though it doesn't really work.
Yes but i think is don't have a idée were can this happend soo is not on the movie
This makes what miles and Peter say in across the spiderverse even better. The way that Miguel was asking the opposite of what Peter told miles to do is also great
this spoils the second movie thats why they removed it probably, remember these words "you cant think about saving the whole world. You have to think about saving one person" thats basically the whole plot for the second movie
it looks like a telltale game

It was cut because a lot of it was redundant. A lot of what was talked about here can already be picked up throughout the film.

Oooh! Oooh! Fun fact for that: That’s actually a storyboard, those are what’s used to guide the scene, it’s not just for animated films either, all movies use them.
The people who made the movie adaptation of watchmen actually used the comic itself as a storyboard.

Peter's "saving one person" speech is a good contrast to Miguel saying "if there's a choice between saving one person and saving every world..."
Like Dr Strange in What if. Theres a death that is supposed to happen but miles wants to stop it
This is a real touching scene and it would help with Peter B Parker’s arc about MJ and being afraid of kids.

This scene is definitely great and it was a shame that it was cut, though the scene we got instead (in Miles' dorm) definitely set up the scene with his dad and the leap of faith much better than this could have. I remember hearing that saving one person conversation in the trailer, so this definitely gave me chills. This scene hits different after across the spiderverse

After seeing Across the Spider-Verse, this scene, especially the part about "saving ONE person" hits harder. Wish they kept this.
Honestly, I kind of wish this'd been the leap of faith scene. At the same time though, the other is really good.. My brain is messing with me. 😂
I like the one in the movie lot better honestly. It's a more impactful and powerful moment and it builds Miles as a character.
