  • After an amazing trip to the Tangle Lakes BLM Campground on the Denali Highway, it's time to head home. We successfully harvested a Unit 13 Caribou and need to hit the road. Before we do so, we are going to take the kayaks out for a quick paddle and grab a meal at the Tangle Inn.

That sure is some beautiful looking scenery out there. I haven't had caribou but i've had elk before. It was amazing!

Haven't had the pleasure of trying moose yet, either. I'll have to add that to the list.

I have questions... I am not a hunter, but I'm very curious about the process. Don't you have to hang the Caribou upside down and dress it or something? How do you do that safely in bear country? And where do you do it? Did you have a huge chest of ice to put keep it cold? How long does the process take? No, I don't want to see a video on it. :) Just wondering.

I looked up Tangle Lakes, you went quite as ways from home for the hunt. My own curiosity, was no place closer available ? What is the price to have the processing done?

Loved Tangle Lakes when we stayed for one night meeting you two a few weeks ago. The camp host had said it had been super windy, but it had finally died down. Picked a bunch of Low Bush Cranberries...I know next time we'll stay longer there. I like all the level campsites there, and the good internet signal. Have no idea why it's so good there out in in where's land.

thank you for putting up a warning. I love your channel, but there are some things I choose not to see. You gave me the opportunity to opt out. I appreciate that.

Do you keep the Caribou on ice or do you have some way to freeze it.

Must be something wrong with your camera. Looks like bugs all over your face and around your face. :-)
