I thought caucasion doesn't do digital perm. I never see American salon have this service. Good job.
Ah I see. I do have super straight hair that's often too difficult to style and curl. One mistake I've made is to go for a hair treatment the day before the show and ended up the stylists have to re-texturizing my hair with stronger ammonia concentrate for about an hour before they can set the perms in. One thing they did in setting the perms was they curl one inwards and one outwards alternately at the bottom of my hair which gives my hair very nice waves. Perhaps this is the trick. =)
would this be too damaging for straight, ultra fine silky hair? (Asian)

Was the picture in the beginning before the perm or just after it settled down a little? I was thinking of getting a digital perm, but all the pictures I've seen had really curly hair. I want the hair that she had when the stylist had just finished blow drying the hair.

I've modeled for this kind of perm for a workshop for wave master using ATS... The hair stylists used smaller size I think about 22 below and bigger ones on top... The effect is much much better than this one and volume up my hair... The technology is good I'd think as it doesn't really make my hair dry but it's the way how the stylist set the curls that will give the best effects....

hi. is this type of perm high maintenance? like do you have to twirl your hair and blowdry everytime you wash it or something like that?
+Tarynne Skye No, I got this done and you can just let it air dry after towel drying. You don't have to twirl the hair, it just gives more of a loose look, but leaving it natural looks good too!

Does digi perm includes straightening your hair first before curling it? My hair is kinda freezy and it has unlikely curls at the top. But I want my upper hair to straighten and my bottom hair to have curls. Is that possible?

Technically it is possible to achieve but it havs to be extra cares such as extra damage care or best quality product line(ATS Digital Perm).

I believe that your exprience with wawe master using ATS digital perm solution would be the best. It is difference between caucasian hair and asian hair to re-texturising. It is a lot harder to make nice curls on caucasion hair. These are just facts to take into consideration, Thank you for your comment.

is this possible to color hair and then curl it? too much chemical at one time?
Correct me if I am wrong, but from what I am aware of is that you should not color your hair right before a perm, but should instead wait for at least 2 weeks after the perming process.

For my case, it is better to curl it then wait at least a month and then colour it. Last time I coloured it first then do the perm, my hair got damage. But when I do vice versa, it was fine. Your choice though.

Videosuser2000 Hey, I should tell you first that my hair kinda flexible to nearly everything, i only dyed my hair 2 times and it was first perm. So here's my experience. I got my digital perm around April, at first i wanted a little curly hair but the lady suggested me to go for the bigger waves cuz i had longer hair with V end so i went for that. But i was worried it might won't last very long because i heard people saying that waves get loose after some time. Well after i got it, i wasn't very impressed with the result eventhough my hair looked decent, it's maybe cuz ppl were making huge fuss abt it. Well then time passes, and i was getting alot of complements on my hair. They say it looks perfect and effortless etc. And i actually liked how i didn't need to deal with my hair every single time, i just wash it and dry naturally. maybe curl it with my hand to give it a shape. My hair is also not very damaged btw, plus i heard it disappears after 4-5 months and here i am after 6 months still have this little nice curls. Recently i got rid of the tips of my hair and now the end is more like flat, it still looks good i believe.
