  • The brother of Grace O'Malley-Kumar has told Sky News his sister was a "hero" who gave service to her community and it was a "privilege" to have an older sister like her.
James O'Malley-Kumar, 16, said her killer Valdo Calocane remained "emotionless" as he read his impact statement in court, telling him how he had ruined his life and childhood.
In this powerful interview, James tells Sarah-Jane Mee how Grace's death has impacted his life and what his family is doing to fight knife crime.

Arguably forced to be by such terrible circumstances , but what an incredible thoughtful and erudite young lad . Respect and love go out to Graces family .

Manslaughter?! Here we go again! A man holding a knife stabbing innocent people to death isn’t murder? Our justice system stinks! Appalling!

  • @clivefrear1784

So much respect for this heartfelt and brave delivery in the aftermath of something so horrific. Nobody should have to endure such pointless loss.

  • @tonyharwood

I think Grace was an incredible woman such a spirit in one so young. RIP

Agreed! The law needs to change on knife crime. Anyone carrying a knife has intentions to do harm. This is murder not manslaughter! Wake up judge!

  • @Trolldollz

Stop letting them in our country 😤

  • @Durka-Durka01

Notice how the media and MSM have all their attention on the victims, and not the person that committed these horrific acts.

What a strong young man. May he find some peace for having to have had his beloved sister taken from his life.

That poor boy and his sister and her boyfriend. My daughter goes to uni there. I always had a feeling something like this would happen there. It makes me so sad. I'm so sorry sweet boy. ❤😢😓💔💔

What an incredibly brave and erudite young man. Grown arsed man and I cried watching this.

  • @lisalu3994

Until the justice system changes, knife crime will always run rampant. Tougher sentences definitely needed to be a deterrent.

  • @michaelbradshaw1575

Mentally ill or not, this man should never be released

Speak up young man. Your sister was taken by someone who should never be in this country let alone this continent. I'll never forget this as I'm sure many other people won't ! One day when we win we will put up a huge memorial for all of our people taken from us by the replacers. RIP
