Websites that do anime awards either do so based off of popularity or their own arbitrary rules, typically over things like best which had the best action scenes or cutest waifus which isn't what Vinland Saga is about. It goes for a much deeper story to depict the harsh realities of life yet also challenge the notion that fighting will solve all of your problems even in a setting where it's normal to most people. So by the same token don't let other people's opinions take anything away from how you and I feel about this masterpiece.

Cool video. Dub makes Thorfinn sound way too burly though, doesn't fit his character. He is a small individual, and the original captures his character infinitely better imo.
