Thanks for the audio info, especially the db levels at different speeds. Unfortunately my cell phone probably not a good device to listen to the different Meridian premium sound options.
Pleasure, glad you liked the review; truthfully, it's quite hard to pick out the differences on TH-cam, even with a set of bookshelf speakers and/or DAC + headphones :)
I installed Visonik Davids in my ancient Mercedes, and I have never heard anything in that class. Friends commented they wanted to live in my car. At best, car audio today is "cute."
We don't get cloth interior option here in NA, I'm kinda jealous. I find the noise from the car itself (engine/air/suspension) is surprisingly high compared to the noise from the outside. 3D Meridian is also the only option in NA, can't complain - my i3's Harman-Kardon sounded rather thin in comparison.
Love these videos. I wonder if you tested the updated controls on the Tesla Model 3 premium sound. You can now control the subwoofer and other details.
Thank you, glad you like the videos, Filipe; your support is always appreciated! Not tested the newer Teslas yet, but that should hopefully change in the near future!
@@TotallyEV it's objectively not, the optional sound system in the Volvo S60(vehicle starts at 40K) is objectively superior, and any audio reviewer has rted it higher. Like daily motors..(most known for the car brand audio tier list video) This is obvious, and nobody disagrees with this unless you're a Tesla shill. The Genesis system is about on par I'd say, main thing with Tesla's is it's quite front focused, some prefer that some don't, and its surround mode is too artificial, there's not much a of middle ground Great sound system, it's NOT class leading.
I've reviewed over 500 audio related devices and 65+ in-car audio systems, but of course believe whoever you want! Note, I don't own a Tesla and work for an independent publication, not one that might be influenced by car advertisers you might see on certain websites...;) -Chris
Agree with a lot of the comments, I find the overall sound disappointing with a real lack of low bass extension and a slightly hazy/muffled top end, nowhere near as sharp and punchy as I would have expected for such a premium system.
I have Jaguar ipace 2022. It's a piece of garbage. I named it death trap. In 6 months I escaped death 4 times. Jaguar is not concerned about it. Service is zero level. If we have cars and dealer like jaguar. Trust me jaguar will not be in business in near future. Beware this car stops abruptly in the middle of nowhere 🤔. Jaguar says they're is no problem. Seriously.

Haha, fair enough!

I have an HSE but no 3d Meridian....what gives? I have Stereo, Meridian, Dolby, and DTS
Not sure
Agree, should be better! Sure hope the 2023 model will include sound improvements, especially since there’s no upgrade option.
Fingers crossed; but very doubtful there!
Speakers on the rear parcel shelf…??

it's still worse then genesis, volvo, mercedes, and acura lmao
The Model 3's audio? Absolutely not. It's class-leading

Thanks for sharing, glad we're in agreement!
the Harmann Kardon I have in my X5 F15 is definitely superior. A pity and I will exchagne it for the i-pace.
Ah yes, the HK system in the BMW SUVs are quite something!

Sorry to hear this.
Looking at loads of reviews, there are lots satisfied I pace owners.
