Great Awning we had ours up for 5 nights in shark bay it was windy as the entire time, we used 2 pegs for each guide rope in the soft sand and the held the entire time! Very impressed!
What are the actual differences between the mk1 and the mk2? Is it just some extra fabric on the corners and a lightened frame? Was there anything else that's changed?
Seems like the Mk1 had a reflective material on top of the canvas that is not present here on the 270 XT MAX MK2, it also disappeared on the 270 XT MK2. Curious to know why.
So, I called. The reflective layer wasn't aging well, so they removed it. On top of this, I understand the following: - they switched to two-piece canvas instead of three. Fewer seams - added reinforcement plate on the front - No more D-ring, even if stainless they were showing surface rust with time in a humid climate - reinforced seams in some places (didn't quite get where exactly) Hope this helps.
Unless the stainless steel hinge pin is isolated from the aluminium frame, then there will be galvanic corrosion. A paint coating is insufficient protection unless you can ensure that there are no wear points. A hard task when travelling offroad.
Reference "For the Classic or Classic MAX rooftop tents only the standard 270 XT Awning™ can be mounted directly to the side of the tent" okay got that. However, why couldn't the 270 XTMAX be mounted to the CLASSIC MAX (INdirectly)?

a couple of fold down telescopic poles would be a good idear ,,then run a tie down rope of the top of the pole
I need something like this for my Texas beach trips. Hook a disabled vet up!
How long are the support arms?
All good but how long are the arms?
I own a Subaru Ascent. Can I open the hatch with the awning?
Not sure on that one, it would depending on the roof racks and how high they sit Vs the hatch
wow
For the Marquis 270 XT MAX™ Mk2, there is also a mirrored version? To be mounted on the right side of the campervan.
Hi, yes there is a right-hand side version as well.
Length from the side of the vehicle?

Was thinking the same thing. I'd like to know specifically what type of stainless and aluminum and what has been done to prevent this corrosion.

Hi!
Виглядає непогано))
Is worldwide delivery possible? How to order to Ukraine?
Hi, cool thing, can this structure be attached to a bus or camper?
I found the video. There must be a rack to mount.
