I plan to go visit Japan. I was wondering if there was any possibility of studying with Sensei ? Could you tell me how you came about studying with Ikoshima san?
Hi Andrea! First of all, say to you that I'm a fan of you. Congrats for your work, it's amazing ☺️ I'm trying to find the perfect finish for my wood pieces, something natural like in this video. I got to see a can of Osmo but not what type. Could you tell me what kind of product he used of which one do you like to use? Thanks for your help
Absolutely stunning. You have inspired me to have ago myself while we are in Coved19 lock down. I might be able to make a cup coaster sized piece. Lol.
You are right thet the first one is a mountain scene and are very Japanese and made by a cabinet maker (me) The second one is more an abstract piece and a test piece for a later project. It shows bread when you cut in half and see the beautiful pattern inside. It's made by an architect (my boyfriend Anton)
@@olegkazarin8321 Check out "Mike Farrington" on youtube, he has a awesome tutorial that will help you get started! Believe the video is just called Kumiko how to
This is not a kumiko workshop. This is kindergarden. If someone else does 99% of the work and then gives you all the pieces to assemble, it`s just a bit of fun with wood. Damnit he even sanded and framed it for you. Might aswell just buy a nice kumiko panel.
Absolutely beautiful. I’m starting to learn kumiko at the moment. The Japanese are unparalleled in woodworking. God bless them.
I never get bored of looking at kumiko, anyone who thumbs down this is just jealous. Your work is tremendous, bravo!
I love that last shot. Thank you for including it. It really elevated the whole video.

The setup is unreal! Building is easy compared to it! And building is a work of art itself.
Love the use of mostly hand tools.

Very interesting but there's NO WAY!!!! I would have the patience for that kind of wood working.

Good afternoon. Excellent work. Tell me where you can buy plane for Kumiko?
Oleg Kazarin you can buy them from sellers in japan. But they aren’t cheap! Using a jig and block plane is perfectly fine.

In that case Naoki sans kindergarten is the best place in the world to learn to play with wood.
What a horrible, nasty man you seem to be.
