Thanks guys. Lots of info here. I'm still doing the build. I'm going as minimalist as I can without lacking too much comfort. No wood stove or deck either. Its just me and my dogs.

Nice! Yeah if you look and you have enough power you can always find alternatives to wood stoves. Many of us have diesel cabin heaters that run off of 12v and fuel. We have one as a backup heat source but the pioneer underbench ac/heater is our main source of climate control and while it draws power from our system we don’t really use much otherwise besides our fridge and lights so we can electrically “afford it” due to the size of our system. Check out our other videos - we built a pocket dog gate into our bus!

I would really like to know what FB pages you were referring to that have the Excel sheets doing the bus comparisons. We're going to be looking for a bus in the next month or so and that info would be so helpful right now!

In most of the facebook groups for skoolies there is a document section of the group and you can find the engine/trans comparison document there.

What is the type of Propane hose you went with again?

It’s called braided propane line - we got ours at a specialty shop that does all sorts of hoses. They also put the valves on it for us.

Here’s what I would like to know. Have you faced any substantial shoes with being turned away at campgrounds because you have a bus and not a commercial RV? Even though I know for a fact there’s majority of commercial RVs are literally pieces of junk. Because I hear horror stories. Remember it’s titled as an RV you don’t have to mention anything about the Skoolie

We haven’t personally tried staying in an rv park yet but it does depend where you go, if its a major tourist destination the fancier parks have age limits on vehicles, so even older rvs get turned away. Some just don’t allow any non RIVA certified vehicle in the park due to their insurance clauses for the business. All you can do is show up and see what they say. Generally the nicer your bus looks it seems the less likely being turned away happens.
