  • About 20 minutes after Ducati announced their "Dirt Dozen" ride (12 peaks in Colorado over 12,000ft), my friend Spencer and I already had dates picked to make the trip. Despite the dicey weather, the trip was absolutely amazing!
We hit all the required 12 peaks (sadly, except for Black Bear, which was gated and closed due to "unstable ground"). We also rode 4-5 extra credit summits. It was a hell of a trip!

He had good intentions. If someone didn't know what they were getting into, they could have had a very bad day.

@@CamelADV yeah he had good intentions, plus he was talking from a 250lbs enduro bike perspective! I was amazed by the traction you found with those bikes. I too was wondering what tires and pressure did you run but I guess I'll watch the relevant video. I used to take my 990 Adventure R on such trails. Nice trips!

I never been to the Andes, but a lot of this looks like the Andes. What a wild ride!

That looked fantastic. Wish we had passes like that in Northern England. You made the bikes look very capable especially on the loose rocky and very steep climbs. Well done guys, very envious.👍

Yeah, it is a truly epic area!

Damn, I guess that’s why they call them the Rockies! That looked rough but you guys crushed it! Looking forward to the next episode. 🤘

Awesome. At 62 I am not so agile anymore; I really need to start training and work hard on my agility. Someday I may have the skills to take my Desert X on this ride.
Talking with my friend about riding Iceland this next year. Keeping fingers crossed.

Yeah, we thought it was a quick out and back to Handcock as well, which was not the case as you noted.

Hancock is probably the toughest of those I would be willing to consider taking a bigger bike on. Tomichi is right near there (the left turn at 14:49) and it's quite bad as well, but shorter. Everyone makes a big deal of Tincup, and it's not in great shape, but totally rideable if the lake isn't fully over the road. Nice riding, nice video.

First time riding tincup this year was blocked at mirror lake.

The direction we rode was definitely the more challenging way. The opposite side was mellow and fun.

@CamelADV yeah, I definitely suggest people do it south to north if they can, then you're going downhill on the really rocky stuff. Tomichi is kind of the same way, east to west is easier, though still pretty damn difficult.

Hi Corey, i don't think that bloke @8:40 could believe his eyes 😂 i know the T7 & the Ducati are complete different bike's when it comes to rider aids, but how do they compare weight wise, handling and engine characteristics characteristics

Since you have a few adv bikes, which is your Favorite? Yamaha, Ducati or KTm? Love that Duck but it’s a pricey bike to fall over on rocks. Although I’ve NEVEr seen you do that. 😅
