    Welcome to the club. I just quit smoking 3 months ago after 20years of fire fighting. And my wife got into running. Now finally working normal human hours and having plenty time off I had a lot of pent up energy. Nothing better than a early morning run in the dark when the world is still sleeping. The colder the better. I hope you keep up the good work and motivation.
    Oh and the shoes are amazing. For trails you should get the brother shoe to this one the more trail V2. Cheers from the UK

      Thanks Fire Man! Was that smoking by proxy of the fire smoke😂?
      Also a big fan of morning running. I definitely love the looks of the More Trail v2 and I’m hoping to check them out at some point.
      Thanks again for reaching out! Welcome to the channel!

    Great to finally see a review from a 200+ lbs runner! Subscribed. I have these in 16 and Invincible Zoom X Flyknit in 15. Tough to judge a winner though as my true running shoe sizing is probably 15.5 which they don’t make either in.

      Right on! Happy to hear you found it so helpful! Thanks so much for subscribing and supporting me in that way-I really appreciate it!
      Yeah I could see how that would be a tough choice between the two. They’re both popular choices these days.
      I’d like to see how Nike’s next update to the Invincible fairs and to do a review of that once released (hopefully again in January)

    Bro, check out the Saucony Tempus. I'm 270 and the Tempus is a DREAM. So much I bought a second pair. Finally a light weight stability with Power Ru PB and Power Run mix in the sole. Seriously dropped the NB More and Brooks Glycerin for the Tempus

    Finally a channel for big runners! Yes! Subscribed. Also how about reviewing the Novaboost 3 from ASICS?

    • @timetorunchannel
      @timetorunchannel  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Ryan! That means a lot! Happy to give the perspective on this side of 200 lbs. Yes, having run in the NB1 I was really looking forward to upgrading last fall to 3 myself. I adored the 1st gen. One this led to another and I never picked one up. Seems that everyone agrees it’s the shoe of the year.
      I’ve essentially replaced it this year with the Puma Deviate Nitro 2 in wide (at least for now) as my new daily trainer. I’ll keep tossed around the idea, maybe even make a poll for it.
      Thanks for the comments and for the sub!!!

    I’ve brought 4 pairs of these more x v4,s I’ve sent all 4 pairs back! There’s a design flaw in the toe box there’s a crease which rubs on your big toe……so I’ve given up on them shame as they are very comfy until you walk forward.

    • @timetorunchannel
      @timetorunchannel  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's a bummer! I never experienced that myself but, yes, after trying 4 different pairs I'd be pretty discouraged about them as well.

    Late to the party and completely unrelated to shoes.... but that guitar tone in the music is absolutely fantastic.

    • @timetorunchannel
      @timetorunchannel  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey thanks! You’re the first to mention anything about my music and I appreciate you doing so. These are all original songs. I recorded these using my Mexican Fender Strat using a Vox amp, and tone was accomplished using PettyJohn pedals. Welcome to the channel brother!

    • @TechnicallyNotSteve
      @TechnicallyNotSteve ปีที่แล้ว

      It's absolutely juicy tone, I have a few Mexican Strats that I absolutely love. That tone is seriously some of the best I've heard in a long time and the songs are perfect for the videos. Keep it up!

    • @timetorunchannel
      @timetorunchannel  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah they really are. I keep thinking I want a tele because of the body style (like a natural or sunburst finish) but at this juncture I don’t have a need for the tele tone as much. So tone beats body style in this case. Thanks so much!

    Hello, good afternoon. Forgive me if I ask you a question. I have the foot exactly 27,5 cm long, and the foot is normal width, a little thin , that with the asics I go with the 45 European, which is 28,5 cm. I am looking at all the places and each one says something different. With this sneaker the more v4, which number do I have to catch? The 44 which is equivalent to 28 cm, or the 44.5 which is equivalent to 28.5 cm to go well? If you can help me I would be very grateful because I’m eating my head. thank you very much. Sorry for my English 😅

    • @timetorunchannel
      @timetorunchannel  ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm not great with the conversions but my foot is a similar, or slightly shorter. However, I have these in a 46.5 EU or 30 CM. So already it seems that I probably also can't be as helpful as well. I will say that it does seem to fit true-to-size. Maybe ever-so slightly wider. But still true to what I expect to but for shoe sizes.
      Hope I was at least a little helpful.
      And please let me known what you decided. I'm sure others who might read this will find it helpful! Thanks!

    Altra paradigm could be another shoe to check out. Nike´s don´t work for me since they are kind of narrow in the toe box.

    • @timetorunchannel
      @timetorunchannel  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Carlos! Thanks for the comment! I really like Altras for that exact wide toe box reason as well! I like the idea of trying out the Paradigm.
      I agree about the Nike’s. I usually have to buy a size up or buy them in wide if I can find them.

  • @junak777

    I am heavy. Above 100kg. No 100 kg no knight they say. :-))
    How long , how far did the Strange New Balance (MOre v4) go ? :-)))
    How many and ...how many more v4? :-)))
    For instance I run in Puma Velocity Nitro 2. Was nice in 3 weeks. 5k or 10k.
    The 4th was dull and kaput. Even walking gives a strange feeling on foot.
    Then, I bought Guardian 3 from UA . That gave me blisters on the side of my foot.
    Not because shoes are guilty. But June. Man it is so wet, moist, worse than any
    run in the rain.
    Skin definitely does not love that. I ve heard of New Balance v4. It is a heat oven.
    But I don't trust it. because those who claim that don't comment on weather conditions for the region where they are. For instance, July here is dry. And last no more than 2 weeks of Doggy heartwarming Seriously hot days. Old people don't love it. I kinda finally breathe. IN we moist I faint. Kinda.
    Wet and moist water vapor kinda stops wetting and schock pushes and dries in so called heat waves. Lungs barely have the capacity to filter all that water. My nose was bleeding water, no yellow gooish stuff. One eye went bloody. No itchiness , no dry feeling. Just enough to scare me of my kidneys or oxalates or any of crazy ideas that surge in my lack of awareness of reality and processes within the body.
    I was hoping that hovr would last 3 month of 5k easy runs. After barely a month I felt a bottom drop. Gemini 2020 was the best I wore. 3 month of 10 k. With my weight. That compound that they put over Charged is awesome.
    Like there was left no no push from the Hovr compound towards the foot. Or like an ice cube melts..after salt freezes it.
    In the end only two questions I have...Second is how do you compare mileage of Novablast 3 with New Balance V4? Should I go at this moment for a less priced NB or perhaps NB3 from A6 ...possibly the end of Novablast line? Idk if it is merely speculation about the Novablast line in Asics.Hopefully it is not. It would be the first time for my feet to wear either of the shoes.
    In my opinion good shoes have to do 2 things. Endure 3 months of (10 k or less) running. And be kinda stiff because that hard part keeps joits happy. Puma VN2 was hurting my knees and the overall symmetry of all that stacked bones. In the end of rise I mean. And shoe built in quality is amazing. Just Nitro is too cloudy.
    I do like soft, don't get me wrong. But due to heaviness= illogically my dear Vulcan, those midsole foams or chemicals act in unsuspected ways. In long run.
    Wish you good health and many miles crossed! Live long and prosper!

    • @timetorunchannel
      @timetorunchannel  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah I did most of my miles at a similar weight to you at the time. They’re still comfortable for sure. But like I mentioned in the vid the lateral part has worn down. I’m at 230miles/370 km on my More v4. I use them exclusively now on easy days where I’m not concerned about any paces, just easy miles.
      I haven’t run as far in the Novablasts. But they’re holding up well. They’re former that the More V4s.
      Hope that helps!

    • @timetorunchannel
      @timetorunchannel  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi Luigi! It all would depend on what you’re wanting.
      If you’re hoping for a long run and easy day shoe where fast paces aren’t the central priority these shoes will be a great choice.
      Alternatively, if you’re hoping for a daily run shoe wherein you’ll be picking up the paces then the 1080v12 might serve you better.
      Hope that helps!
