This is a segment on I do where I search Amazon for knives I have never heard of to try and find hidden gems. Today's pick is from a new company for me and I must say I was surprised. In this video I will take a close look at the good, bad and also do some real world testing to see how it performs. Let me know what you think of this new knife I picked.

I got mine titanium one yesterday and man is it sweet now I haven't handled no 500$ knives but this thing is immaculate and cuts like a razor!!! Mine came centered
I got the g10 one first and was so disappointed with how cheap and ugly the g10 was. I mean I know it's a 25$ knife but the attention to detail from the g10 to the titanium for 35$ is insane
The action is very tight. The detent especially but the overall fit and finish is unbelievable. The blade and scales feel well over 100.00
I ordered another one and they have fixed the detent so they listened. it's almost to light now tho. But better then nit being able to flick it open lol. All though the first one I got is broke in good now.
If you of all people say it’s comfy then it must be pretty freaking sweet. This really has been the year for new small brands I absolutely love it man🤩
The funny (and neat) part is ALL the Chinese knives are made inside one city in China. Doesn’t matter what brand you like.. they were all made in the same city regardless of brand, maybe even the same factory.
You can TH-cam it and see, pretty crazy. Most of the designers have to travel in from Beijing.
Couldn't locate the model 1 (the Titanium version) on the site as they seem to be missing (or out of stock), but did manage to order the #2 Carbon Fiber version instead. Looking forward to seeing it when it gets here.
Looks good overall and I love how they put a “finger” choil on this. Has a great standard knife aesthetic but the real sell point is the 14C; regardless of how authentic it is they heat treated something right because that cutting performance was pretty epic! Thanks for the introduction!
It has to be closer to 60+ just due to the edge retention from all the tests

I just got mine. I put it next to my Demko Ad20.5. The handle is the same and the blade is very close in shape. Knife is thicker because of the liners. Great budget knife. Hope the steels for real.
When I looked, the #1 and #2 were not listed but the #3 (G10 scales) was at $23 with a 10% coupon... $21 bucks is a stupid deal if it's even half the knife you say it is.

Got this in g10 after seeing the recommendation -- I'd recommend others steer clear of that model. Came with pre-stripped pocket screw, like 5% lockup, noticeable detent lash, crunchy action, and a rounded blade tip.
My titanium variant was pretty bad too. Insane detent that's hardly flippable (and I like em stiff 😉) terrible lockbar access, and gritty action. I'm gonna try to adjust the lockbar which should help the lockbar access but I'm not sure it's salvageable. I guess there's a reason they're 35 bucks their QC is awful
I got the G10 version today and the action is great (flips very smoothly) Agree the lock bar access is not great. Thumb studs aren’t the most accessible, but can still thumb and reverse flick with ease. I got mine for just under $24 shipped and at that price the milling on the scales and 14C make it a good buy (as long as you get a version that was QC’d well apparently)

Got the one with carbon fiber scales. #1 it was not sharp out of the box. Tried stropping but I wound up having to go to my fine diamond/ceramic/strop to get the blade in shape. Not a big deal but nothing like the video. #2 the lock up is very solid and 50%. Detent is pretty stiff but not horrible. #3 flipper works well, thumb studs don't. Overall it is very good for a budget knife, but knife of the year is way overhype.

I really like mine. Kind of shocking to find a knife of this quality for ~$35. Seems like this could just as easily had a $150 price tag.

Just got mine, I thinks it’s okay. Quality materials but something about doesn’t feel quality. Also lock is tight and action is okay, I say you get what you pay for.
Man, mine has a brutal death lock. The only way is to hold it in an unnatural position before flipping. Barely thumb flicks
Purchased based on this video.. Mine was a dud! It felt like a 20 lb detent.. 😅 waiting on. Replacement hopefully the next will be more like yours.

That's an amazing offering for the price, but they 100% copied the handle shape from the Demko ad20.5.
I have both knives and holy crap I didn’t even notice that until your comment! I held them up to each other and they are almost perfectly identical in size and shape.

I bought one of these when they first came out thinking I had found this hidden gem before anyone. Mine had very noticeable lock rock. I took it apart and adjusted the lock bar to add a little bit more tension. This absolutely worked, but now the lockup was like 90%+. It was already very difficult to access the lock bar to disengage before I adjusted it, and after fixing it it became impossible. All it needs is a small cut out in the frame to get better access to that lock bar. It became almost impossible to disengage with one hand. I really wanted to love this but I had to send it back. Beware the quality control on these.
How do you adjust the lock bar?
I had this knife. The detent was really tough. Was able to use the flipper, but couldn’t use the thumb stud. When trying to get a good grip on the knife to use the thumb stud, I would be putting pressure on the frame lock (big hands). Got frustrated and sent it back to Amazon. Just wasn’t right for me.
Yes detent sucks but a little oil and break-in did the trick

The g10 version is even better in my opinion, but I don’t like speed holes. Only one I don’t have is carbon fiber one but I’ve heard it’s reall carbon fiber not overlays. Crazy good knives for the price. As of yesterday the titanium one is sold out.

man, what shit timing. I have been curious about 14C28N for a while now and finally justified a new edc knife purchase literally yesterday, spent hours on Amazon browsing and comparing designs and prices and finally _settled_ for a sitivien knife that had the features I was looking for at the right price. if only I would have waited another day or two. this knife looks sweet but I don't like taking gambles on questionable brands

The G10 version is still in stock. That G10 version looks really good to me and it is an absolute steal for that price. I literally just bought one of the G10 versions too for $28.10 shipped with prime. No way you can reasonably expect to get 14C28N for that price anywhere else...

I watched a breakdown of Chinese knife prices that Greg Medford did the other day where he discussed the agenda of some of these companies. While there looks to be tremendous value here, I just can’t pull the trigger on something that is sold at less than the cost of the materials.
While that may be true, he also over charges on his knives. I’ve seen countless Medfords with worst plunge grinds than this knife.
@@PittRules55 tbh most knife companies overcharge. I just buy what i like if i can justify the $$ and most ppl do the same.
Probably be better to watch an evaluation of the topic by a neutral, unbiased person or group. He notoriously hates Chinese manufacturing and perhaps even Chinese people, with a voracious passion. He has felt most threatened by these manufacturers.
I personally like Medford knives but most are giant slabs of titanium with s35vn blades for $500-$1000. The value isn’t there for most people. And sadly it is a cruel cycle and self fulfilling prophecy. The American economy is so bad that people cannot afford American products so they buy Chinese brands which in turn makes the American economy even worse.
So I ultimately admire you for sticking to your guns and not supporting these companies. I have not been so dedicated to the cause but I will not by CKF or Shirogorov products that contribute to Russia.
