Hi thanks for the recipe...I need to ask.... u add butter only for making mooncakes filling or also for paos....
You can pressure cook dry beans for one hour. No soaking necessary.
Pomme Melo Why the rush it's effortless to let things go by themselves when you have time if you want to make something waiting is part of preparing.
Hi, I really enjoyed seeing you showing us how to prepare the red beans but I have a question though. After soaking the beans for 4 - 8 hours, can we pressure cook the beans instead of cooking them for an hour? If yes, how many whistles does it take to get them cooked? Anyway, thanks a lot for the video :-)
You can try pressure cooking for 20 minutes.
They aren’t delicious. They have no flavor.
Somehow you are just like my hubby.

Why dont you add in pandan leaf or rose flavour into your red beans while boiling them and little bit of red coloring.

My red bean paste is quite moist is not as dry as yours. What can I do to make it a bit dryer cause is hard to make into shape as it is quite moist but not watery.

Good recipe , thank you 👍
You are welcome!
What is purpose of adding salt?
It brings out the flavor (in this case, the sweetness) of any dish, sweet or savory. That's why you notice salt in the ingredients list of store bought food.🙂
