Test and there is really great difference. I still can say that OLED screen is still much better but this tweak make the lighter psvita slim much better that the heavy 1000.

Khalid Hamid 3.65 is the best version to keep ... my vita is flawless on this version ... a lot of people say 3.60 but I had just a few issues ... trust me 3.65 is flawless 👌🏾🙏🏽💯

Man I would love to see what a ps vita slim with this edit looks like next to an Og vita. I just bought a slim after days of debating which one to get. Just went with it cause its new in box and I want that battery life. Seemed like the pros outweighed the con especially if you can do this to make it look better
From my experience, when put side by side there is still a big difference in quality. But that being said, the lcd looks great on its own with this tweak. U won't notice the difference unless they really are side by side. My recommendation is to enjoy what u got and don't worry :)

No, it doesn't. If the baclight brightness is the same, it won't make any difference in battery life. Why? Unlike OLED screens, LCD screens consume the same ammount of power regardless of what is shown on screen
@Joe Retro Gaming Channel I have a fat PS Vita, so I can't really speak from experience regarding the Slim one, but all this registry hack does is to modify your gamma values (and maybe saturation too). You can't make a LCD screen look like an OLED one, but most people find more saturated colors more pleasing (OLED usually has those) so this hack may make the viewing experience better on LCD screens. Unfortunatelly, the color accuracy will be affected and you may find dificulties distinguishing images in the bright areas (not super sure though). You can't make a LCD screen look quite as good as an OLED one, but you can tweak your settings to make it look more pleasant. I think Sony used a more conservative setting as to preserve color accuracy and contrast. Also, no mater how much tweakimg you do, you will never be able to get those true blacks on an LCD screen just because of that backlight. I may be wrong though, but, if my knowledge regarding the way OLED and LCD screens is correct, this may be the case. You should definetely try this hack and compare the before and after! And, to tell you honestly, the OLED Vita is not that awesome. It is chuncky, has a weird charging port, has poor battery life and the screen quality is mediocre at best. Most mobile phones have much better screens. Still, the Vita is an awesome system and I LOVE it. (don't forget to overclock yours using PSVshell and to use VitaGrafix for crispier graphich) Happy gaming! Have fun!
@Joe Retro Gaming Channel Yeah, VitaGrafix is a plugin. Using AutoPlugin (an automatic plugin installer), you can easly install VitaGrafix and it also installs VitaGrafix Configurator for you. The Configurator is a simple app that you can use to modify graphics setting for any (supported) game. There are TONS of information on Reddit on r/vitahacking and r/vitapiracy. Also, if using VitaGrafix, PSVshell or another overclock plugin is a must because performance will suffer on stock speeds. Don't worry. It isn't as bad as it sounds. All in all, I recommend using AutoPlugin II to install all those plugins because it makes the whole process so much easier. Good luck and have fun! Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

A good game to test the difference is Persona 4. As for Adrenaline, you can simply enter Adrenaline settings and you should have "Screen Scale (PS1)" and you can adjust it. Again, I recommend asking those questions on Reddit because more people can see them and answer.

Padding the video with filler for longer runtimes times means improved TH-cam algorithm rankings. Additionally when you have a sponsor involved, often times your video has to meet a minimum contractual length. It sucks, but that's the world we live in.
I did this trick about 6 months back, and if it has caused more battery consumption, I haven't noticed. My battery seems to last the same amount of time as it ever did, so I hope this helps!

Currently no, but I'm also interested in when an oled mod does come out, my only guess why there isn't one yet is probably the screen from a 1000 vita wouldn't fit in a 2000 and also it might require soldering
I have both a Oled and a Slim Vita. I think that the slim is better overall. Better grip, lighter body and yes, better screen. The old gen oleds are flawed with uniformity and delamination issues. The worst case scenario is playing the Oled in a dark environment due to mura effect. Plus, color accuracy is worse than the Lcd. When you compare the two the oled certainly pops out but things are oversaturated (2013 Samsung phones like). It's by taste overall but Slims are defined criminally underrated.
@@deedeemerry1295 yes, colors are more accurate on Lcd Ips screen used on slim version. Though, i can understand people prefer better contrast to better color accuracy when viewing media content. Besides that, ALL Oleds from that era suffered from the mura effect and pitch black issues. Obviously the intensity varies from unit to unit but the tecnology used was that and mura was the “ips glow” or the “backlight bleeding” of oled from that time. i repaired several units and all of them had this issue.

I've looked around on how I can install games only on Vita2SD. and a few issues would be PSvita games found the Vita2SD. but on PSP and PS1 it switches to my Vita storage every time I use Pkgi. and I'm hoping there is a way I can at least make pkgi target to use my Vita2SD storage every time I download a game. And if your wondering, I Downgrade to the version where I can use Adrenaline, and copied everything on my vita or memory card to my Vita2SD (if that's the option) I just need to know where and how can I make that happen.

I bought a fat Vita and frankly I prefer the Slim's screen. Everything looks over saturated on the fat model. Only games I could see it looking great like that is games with an anime style but the Vita does not have a lot of those. I've read part of that has to do with newer games were designed for the Slim's screen but idk. Even killzone just looks to over saturated. Hell the colors were all off in dragon quest builders. Played some psp games and some games the characters have more of a pink color skin then the normal tone. So here is a question. With this work to make the oled look more like the Slim's? XD

I hooked up my PS-VITA to my Samsung Tab S7 11 " as a portable screen and even extend to my tv through the same HDMI dongle...🤯🤓

Just modded my PS Vita just waiting on my sd2vita adapter. I ordered mine from Japan an it got here in 3 days while I'm still waiting for the adapter from a US seller smh

I bought a fat Vita and frankly I prefer the Slim's screen. Everything looks over saturated on the fat model. Only games I could see it looking great like that is games with an anime style but the Vita does not have a lot of those.
I've read part of that has to do with newer games were designed for the Slim's screen but idk. Even killzone just looks to over saturated. Hell the colors were all off in dragon quest builders. Played some psp games and some games the characters have more of a pink color skin then the normal tone.
So here is a question. With this work to make the oled look more like the Slim's? XD
