  • Here is my collection of classic "Sleds" from years past. Before I was into the bikes It was classic "muscle" sleds of the 70's 80's and 90's
Most of these I restored over a 10 year period before I sold the collection and got into the bikes.

Wow! That is really cool to see. Being from Texas I never got to get into these sleds. Looks excellent!

Thanks Jim. You should see the new stuff these days, 170 hp 2 strokes that are fully EPA emissions compliant , rocket ships !

Those 2 -stroke engines are very sought after these days ...

Snowmobiles are still being produced with 2 strokes today. 170hp and emissions compliant , fuel and oil injected and very clean burning. The snowmobile industry never abandoned the 2 stroke like the motorcycle industry did. Today I can buy 2 stroke or 4 stroke sleds. These older machines of course are not clean burning and are very desirable collector items today for sure

Living in an extreme environment as you do where motorcycle riding doesn’t appear to be an option for a good part of the year this seems a natural diversion offering similar excitement. You’re a fortunate man to have the time, space and resources to enjoy what makes you happy 😊👍

@@christyrer9530 yes, I am very fortunate indeed. I sold this collection about 10 years ago and that’s what allowed me to start the bike collection. Bit yes, wrenching on bikes is a great diversion from the winter blues. Our winters, while severe compared to many, are no longer as extreme and snowy as they once were. Snowmobile trails for riding the newer machines seem to only be open a few weeks a year these days .
