Amazing. We knew almost nothing 😂
You're here!? Love you Easy German 🥰
😂😂😂 Almost nothing is good enough for us 🤩💙
Mitch has found his vocation and will shoehorn perfectly onto ITV gameshows
I love these collaborations.
So cool to see Cari and Janusz speaking English, plus Isi's demeanor had me dying! Honestly I knew none of these since all my slang is like west coast USA slang. One of my personal favorites though, when something is all gone or finished, I say it's "Dunzo Washington" lol
😂aaahahahahaha I laughed out loud watching this!! As an American, I didn't know very many of them myself😂
We've had a few comments saying some of the phrases exist, but mean totally different things?
"full of beans" is in fact a polite way to say "full of shit" in American English :D
No way! So Cari was correct (I'll have to tell her)... just in the wrong English speaking country!?
I think Easy English should make an episode about the different meanings for phrases in GB and US English
Cari's bright smile totally melted my heart 😍 tbh I've been living in the uk for 4 years and some of the slangs here are still new to my ears
This is hillarious to watch as a native English speaker
Great video - Just one thing it's ' A bun in the oven' slang for pregnant not ' One in the oven'
Simply loved Mitch as the game show host. Isi as his "overeager" assistant was funny, too. BTW there were only 3 words/expressions I did not know. My early training in British English is paying off :-).
Wow! That’s really impressive… glad you enjoyed the video
You need to do an American one! How fun would that be!
I had a Polish substitute teacher she told me, “No writing bad words in Russian on the board. I can read it!”
I’m glad Cari escaped this one with her thumb intact! Good tries for all the questions, those Cockney Rhyming Slang ones were hard. It’s interesting to realise how strange our idioms really are 😂 Gut gemacht Easy German!
Well remembered Leaf Beetle! I'm sure it's still a painful memory for Cari 🤕
You are very good performer Mr Mitch .. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks Sihem... we hope you enjoyed 🙌
🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Love this! Great video - just shows how difficult British slang is 🙊
Thanks Emma 🙌
That was so good.
Thanks for watching Martha 🙌
Love this one ! When you think of it English is weird ,good to see it from others points of view 🤔
Love this video! My C1 / L2 / Upper-intermediate learners are always asking for classes on slang. We've done a lot this year but they didn't score well in this quiz! They realise that they still have so much to learn. Great to have an up-to-date resource to use. Thank youuuuu!
Brilliant! Let us know how they get on 🙌
By the way, my favourite joke: What do you call a three-legged donkey?...A wonky!!!!
👏👏👏😆
Cockney rhyming slang for Pole is Jam Roll rather than Swiss. Great concept for the video though, very enjoyable
Oh really!? I guess there’s probs a few… thanks for watching 🙌
That was so funny 😆Cari und Janusz sind sehr lieb💕❤️
Thanks! How many did you know? 🧐
@@EasyEnglishVideos unfortunately only two😅
That's actually pretty impressive considering they have no literal correlation 👏
فديو رائع وقناة اروع تستحق مشاهدة يدوم محبة مسيرة موفقة
Thanks so much for your kind words 🙌 Greetings from Brighton 🏖
Hahaha!! That was amazing and funny!
Thanks mate and cheers for watching! 🍻
You people are amazing ☺️
Ahhh... I hope Cari and Janusz are watching the comments for these compliments 🙌
Don’t worry Jansuz. I grew up speaking English mostly, French, and Russian along with other languages in high school and throughout my 20’s and English is still weird too me!
Even as an American, I don't know most of these slang words. Janusz had something right about "pop your clogs", didn't he? I assume there was some origin where you'd take the shoes off of a corpse or something.
Maybe that's where that internet meme comes from, that as long as somebody has their shoes on in a video where there's an accident, they're okay, but if they lose their shoes, they die?
Maybe you're onto something... mad that, no matter how hard your tie your shoelaces... off they come. Dark stuff.😬
A great video as always!!
Thanks mate 🙌👊
“Pop your clogs off” I would’ve said take your shoes off too.
English is my first language and I’ve never heard the first three in my life. Lol
That was so fun! learned new slangs in the best way possible. Thank you guys, loved this video♥️♥️♥️
Thanks Kaylane 🙌
That’s exactly what were aiming for. Thank you for your support
Congrats Kari & Janusz! I didn’t even know most of those just “Where is the loo?” “Full of beans!” And “One in the Oven!”
Very good! "Where is the loo?" is an important one, innit? 😂
I'm looking forward to watching a video about MLE. Those words and phrases like "peng ting", "wagwan blud" and that :)
We will definitely cover that soon! I think we'll make a few videos from London.
@@EasyEnglishVideos I'm bare gassed! Can't wait for it.
@@bnu2b 😂 🙌
More videos with Cari and Janusz please! 😁
will do 😁
Lol I was born and raised in the American Midwest, spoke English my entire life. Only knew like 2 of these😅
😆
That buzzer ... 😂 What a fun and mind-blowing episode - the only word I knew was "loo". 😅
Probably the most useful of this bunch to be honest 😂
@@EasyEnglishVideos Haha, yes.😅
Interesting, if I remember correctly, in the US _to waffle on / over_ means that you can't make your mind about something.
_Pop your clogs off_ was a new one for me, and it made me look up _clog_ on Etymonline, and I found that, in addition to its "wooden shoe" meaning, it had another one in Middle English, and quite curious, too: it seems back then it was used to talk about large pieces of jewelry and large...testicles! 🥚😎🥚
Loved the show, Mitch, real nice way to polish my Brit slang a bit! 😁
Interesting that waffle on is different in the US. We will have to make a video on this kind of topic soon.
Thanks for the info on "clog". It instantly made me thing of how some people refer to their testicles as the "crown jewels" 😂
Thanks for your comment and for watching, glad that it was of some help 🙌
I’m a native English speaker from the US and knew almost none of these. Eek.
Kari seems to be more sure of herself when speaking English than Janusz. Maybe Germans have a bit more exposure English than Poles.
I have been learning German from Cari and Janusz for a while now,. It was great fun seeing them struggle with so many British slang terms. This video was the absolute dog's bollocks! 😂
Oh brilliant! Then this collab was for you! And great use of slang too 😂
Guy should be a gameshow host
Thanks! My voice broke after 15 minutes, so maybe not 🤣🤣
I only knew chock a block from Biffa videos who is a british person I watch his videos 🤣
Is that the guy that plays indie games?
@@EasyEnglishVideos yes! haha Cities Skylines ❤️ @Biffa
When I first learnt the word "loo" I asked my teacher: So the battle of Waterloo was about who gets to the bathroom first? 😃
Hahaha don't write this too often or you'll start re-writing history on Wiki 😂🤫
Better than SNL!!!
Oooooh big words! I'm coming for Kenan Thompson
@@EasyEnglishVideos I am here for it! ❣️
Ha ha Isi was funny.
This is gorgeous 😂
Thanks for watching 🙌
🇵🇹👍🏻
It’s funny video 😃😃😃😂😂😂
Thanks Simon… how many did you know? 🙌
If loo means toilet, waterloo is?
😆
Hahaha
