Thanks for sharing. I do the exact set-up. Slight shoulder tilt. Ball position off-of left heel. Tee-up. Driver head 2" away from the ball. Closed stance. Launch it up in the air. I still get 210 max. What do I need to change to get 250?

You can lose 25+ yards just with a poor strike. Get some foot powder spray and look at the strike location. Also, if you are hitting a slice you are going to lose energy transfer to the ball which reduces the carry and roll out.

@@rw_golf6387 Thanks. Slice is there but not counting it for distance. Strikes are generally within 1.5-2 " dia off-of center using 8 deg loft shortened driver.

@@orkayen Hmm. 1-2 inches off center will definitely cause a significant loss of distance. Also, assuming you are swinging around 90 mph, if you are getting a lot of height off an 8 degree driver I would guess you are coming across the ball and flipping which would all together cause the off center hits, slice, and high shot. I would suggest a few lessons and then a driver fitting. To save money just buy a used driver 2-3 years old with similar specs as to what you get fitted to.

@@rw_golf6387 It is 1-2 " dia. So, within 1" from sweet spot. I am not hitting very high. I would say 30-50' high. Are you suggesting buying a 10.5/12 deg loft?

@@orkayen Yes. 30-50 feet is very low.

It looks like he's setting the ball up in the middle of his stance. Shouldn't he be closer to his left heel so he can launch it up?

Same thing I Said. I think he is doing that to help with his draw maybe.
