Many thanks for this tutorial. I have been struggling with custom elbows for some time and, thanks to this video, I've managed to create a mitred elbow for round ducts.

Hi Maqbool, Thanks it must be there with Autodesk Library files. If not reinstall only library content with internet connection not whole Revit. Note it requires min. 2 to 4GB of data

How did you choose tan(angle) duct length parameter can you explain please??

    • @BIMModeller

Hi Akhtar, It's just a trigonometry formula, to find unknown values based on available values.

@@BIMModeller ya but how are you taking the opposite sides mean to say 45° is cutting the width into half ?? How did you select the base as length of the duct?? As tan(angle) =perpendicular/base

wouldn't the formula for duct length 1 be Duct length 1 = (width/2)/ (tan(A/2)) , If we are making a triangle by cutting the angle from between equally then Width/2 is the opposite side and the adjacent side is the duct length 1 so why multiply it? tan(A) = opp/adj, adj = opp/tan(A). I don't get it.

I was surprise to see low number of view, I think because Your topic are too advance for ordinary engineers. Anyway thanks for excellent tutorials.
If possible, make a tutorial on duct sheet quantity schedule of DUCT FITTING. Because Revit duct schedule give only straight duct quantity.
