    Great video, thank you so much for the info. Is there a way to create a piping system with slope using the generate layout command?

    • @mep_guy
      @mep_guy  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes you can. There is a drop down to the left of finish layout button for the slope value. Just set the slope to the value you want before you finish the layout. Thanks for the question and feedback.

    Great video, thank you for providing this content. Can you do a video on how make the 2d content in your P-Trap visible at different scales or annotative?

    • @mep_guy
      @mep_guy  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Do you just want me to explain how it works? The symbol nested inside is a generic annotation, so it will scale correctly. That is a good video idea, and maybe I can make it in the next couple weeks.

      @@mep_guy I’ve downloaded your p-trap and was using it in a project. Tried to change the scale from 1/8” to 1/4” per foot. The symbology did not change. Also have other generic fittings with tick marks that show way too small and would like to know how to edit these parts. Thanks for getting back to me so quickly.

      @@mikemccall169 No problem I check my comments every day. When using symbols/annotations, the size should and will stay the same. If you wanted the symbol to change size, you would want to use model lines or lines within the family, not a generic annotation nested in. Or you could use two different annotations, one for 1/8" and one for 1/4" and just use the visibility settings to turn on and off. I think the first way is your best bet. If you want to chat more and maybe set up a short video conference I can walk you through some stuff. email is theguy@mepguy.com

    Hi Seen this before, what would be really nice is to have a P-trap family that swings as a P-trap does between the U-bend and the street 90

    • @mep_guy
      @mep_guy  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh wow. Yes that would be nice! I rarely get that detailed in my designs, but if I was doing as-builts that would be handy. Creating fittings is probably one of the harder things to do in Revit. I'd recommend just using the U-bend and street 90 as separate fittings. That way you can swing the 90 around like you are suggesting. I think that should work for you. Let me know!

    ITS LOOKS LIKE EASY BECAUSE THE PIPE HAS NO SLOPE TRY IT TO THE PIPE WITH SLOPE LET SEE WHAT HAPPEN TO YOUR P-TRAP CONNECTION

      If I used slope it would be just as easy.
