Thanks for showing my Baja Rey "Pro4" truck on the channel, Mark! Next time I'll be more prepared to be on camera 😆. But for real though, Bayou Battle at 318 is early next month. Feeling a 4x4sct showdown? 😃
I just got one of these and the center diff was empty and the fluid was all over the bottom of the box. When I took out the diff the screws were barely in on the diff. Glad you had better luck on opening.
Thanks, I spent a lot of time getting that rear suspension to behave. I wasn't prepared for an interview (should have known it was coming once he saw it), but there are more specific build videos related to this truck on my channel and hopefully I can get it on Mark's channel again for a "showdown race."
You nailed it the buggy is based on the Losi Tenacity SCTE SC truck which traces it’s roots back to the Ten SCTE unfortunately durability wise looks are deceiving they aren’t as durable as the old SCTE out of the box it’s kinda a lower grade aluminum chassis used but an upgrade is available and definitely recommend otherwise they don’t need much
@@GhostActual206 waterproof reciever still not good enough exposed . All the dirt from the front tire going to head straight for the reciever. Losi just wasn't thinking on that part .
I replaced my shockshaft and pistons with the scte ten, on my tenacity, since the C-clip on the shock shaft comes off way too often. The ten scte is a direct replacement, and is secured with a nut instead.
Awesome video been looking at the Losi Baja Rey, because it's more Realistic than my Slash 4x4 Ultimate, But I have a question for you Mark if you don't mind, How well would a Losi Baja Rey handle a field with bumps? And how well built is a Losi Baja Rey? like Stock form? Thanks Mark I have never Ran Losi so that's why I'm wondering?! Thanks man.
Dont do it if you plan on big jumps anything more them 3ft of air they become extremely fragile and have a ton of front diff issues. I owned mine for awhile but it sat on the shelf broken alot
If you aren't a big air guy, you'll love the Baja Rey. I have two of them, one for scale bashing and I own the build in this video. Open fields with roads with bumps are it's specialty. To handle a jump at a modern track, some adjustments have to be made to the rear suspension geometry, and I have the CAD files to make it happen with very little cost and effort. To make them race legal is a bit of work though.
@@wolf16731 @CL Offroad hey man, I've been looking into the Baja Rey, don't really want to go udr route. Do you use 3d printer to change up the geometry so it goes into prosquat? Do you have recommendations and what upgrades to go with to handle jumps a little better? Thanks in advance
@Ramzes Yes, I had a friend 3d print 1/4" blocks to drop the rear axle upper links at the chassis end. From there I just played around with some 1/8 buggy shocks and made a front tower shock adaptor with a sheet of carbon fiber to get the shocks where I wanted them.
Mark you should try to take a dbpro onto the track sometime. Maybe swap out the tires but other than that I’d like to see how it does stock, looking to have somethin decent for track running without spending a grand 🤣😅. Maybe when I have enough spares to get a roller going I’ll get somethin nice 😈
Calling a Losi Tenacity DB pro a beginner rig is a bit of an oof statement there. I'm not trying to be negative but maybe taking a step away from traxxas and exploring what a lot of other brands are currently offering would give you some really cool insight on some really killer rigs everyone else is making and have right now.
Super late on this but the steering is lacking because of the stability control. If you turn it off it will turn tighter. Very odd but that’s what it is
Oh man dude. A losi isnt a beginner car. Beginner cars are mainly the traxxas 3s line or the 2wd. When go outside of the T brand your no more in the beginner friendly zone. Beginner doenst equal less expensive. What i mean by beginner is like buying a walmart bicycle then you go and go at a real bike store to replace your beginner one. Losi are real machines. The 1/5 scale not a fan tho.parts also can be hard to get no so friendly there
@@GhostActual206 no offense but traxxas 3s look like toys. Chrome wheels toyish body paintjobs. Philip heads screws, no pins in a fee models like really close to toy grade
ON 4S IT WILL STAND UP THE FRONTS AT ANY SPEED!!! YES I SAID 4S(FOUR). IT WILL HANDLE IT 100%. JUST WATCH THE TEMPS AND YOU'RE GOLDEN. TAKE THE SLASH ULTIMATE OUT THE GAME WITHOUT A FLINCH.
The Losi DB Pro is a beast of an RC. Best 3s RTR buggy period.
@@GhostActual206 or just buy the TTPro.
I suggest you try reviewing that DB Pro’s twin (Tenacity TT Pro). It’ll give the Slash Ultimate a run for its money.
I have a DB pro and love it. Yes it does need a better servo and then it's awesome to run. Great handling and durable.

Heck yeah this is awesome!!! I love the fact I've talked with you before buying my baja rey lol good stuff! God bless

That shi t happens. Warranty is there for that too.
That’s a sweet Baja ray! Reminds of the Kraton that raced truggy in Vegas.

Here showing love from Indiana. Your family is amazing and me and my sons love the content.
Db PRO is a beast with 3s and a faster servo. I put a Savox in mine. What a transformation definitely not a beginner Rc!
Lets get Mark to 1M!!
Wooo
are you going to get the Arrma Typhon tlr edition and test it out
He doesnt really like arrma. Im still waiting for the infraction run been like a year. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Lets go Mark ! Love the content keep it up man !
what battery do you use for spec slash?
That thing definitely needs a servo upgrade and a 3s 👏👍

Maaan Ive been looking at that and the truck! those tenacitys are sooooo rad!
I have the same lucas db pro and it does need a better servo. the transmitter that comes with it sucks I just bound it to a dx5c . love that car
Thats a great car came in 2nd two times with both the dB pro and the tt pro against tekno sct
Have a good time at the race
What’s good mark can you provide good body painting company
Pretty much, with an exception of small a changes, underneath the Losi RCs share the same chassis layout. I’ve been wanting the 1/10 baja rey
That Ray was pretty sweet! 🤘😘 Love the racing vlogs!
That Rey is a runner. Don't sleep on that beast when you see it on the grid!
Great video Mark. I want so many Rc cars out on the market. Going crazy. Am looking at Drag Car. It's really hot in my Area

But that car is DEFINITELY not a beginners car. Especially compared to traxxas…
I got a DB, good car but needs new drive shafts, servo and steering rack minimum.
Aye a losi car 😆
Losi cars are mainly focused on racing
You need to change the pinion for 3s. Dont put a 3s without putting the other pinion on.
