Very Cool. Lots of birds out there and different type of backpacking scenery from what I'm used to. Killer sunrise and some unique looking bridges. I dig it 🤙

Definitely a change from the mountains, I really enjoyed it. All the waterfowl on & around the lake was awesome, made that levee walk worth it. Could be monotonous for some. Thanks for watching Outdoor Operator, love your stuff! ✌🏼

Thanks Wes. Something different for sure, & close to home. We have some great, & well funded State Parks here in Arkansas. Thanks for watching! ✌🏼

Enjoyed this walk with you, great job in filming and video production.
I was impressed with the trail shelters. Looks like they were nicely constructed. Also, glad to see so many good bridges.
    Thanks!

Thanks Ken. This was a fun lil under the radar hike, in a part of Arkansas you wouldn’t think of for backpacking. I live in central Arkansas, so this is close to home. May revisit it this winter.

Looks like a great winter hike Chris. The animated maps with the profiles were really nice.

This was a nice surprise, & close to home. Perfect winter hike with all the waterfowl on & around the lake. According to the park ranger, there are at least 9 alligators that call it home, too. Nice, quick overnight trip.

Hey thanks Michael! Walking through those rolling hills, deep draws & ravines took me back to my youth, exploring the woods where I grew up. Shelter areas were great & very under utilized - maybe this video will get more people out there. Thanks for watching, & looks like y’all had a pretty epic road trip out west! ✌🏼

Nice park! Great video. Gotta love all those bridges. I'll have to keep it in mind. Reminds me of Cross Timbers State Park in SE Kansas.

I lost count, but I think there were around 50 bridges total. Thanks for watching, WayOffTheTrail. ✌🏼

Wow, pretty sure I've seen more water and leaves in this video than we have the last couple months here in the southwest! Lol. Looks like a nice hike and campsite, never heard of this area before.

😂. I’ve had this one on my radar for sometime, being less than an hour from my house. The shelters were awesome & this is a nice easy hike - not sure why this is now the only video on TH-cam of this trail. Maybe that’ll change. Continued safe travels out west, y’all. ✌🏼

Great video Chris!! I really enjoyed the relive app mapping. Really cool addition to the videos! I’ll have to check it out myself.

Hey thanks, Bryan! This is the free version of Relive - you should try it on one of your Buffalo River adventures. It will drain your battery, so definitely have a charger bank with ya. Hope all is well. ✌🏼

Wow Arkansas is really pretty. One of my goals is to try to travel and do some hiking in as many states as I come in the next few years. New Sub. Welcome to the hiking/backpacking community! Looking forward to seeing your journey and channel grow.

Holy crap I’ve had Govt Mule stuck in my head for oh about 20 years. Somebody introduced me to them and I’ve admired Warren Haynes for years. “ I wonder why”

Is it possible to access those shelters from the lake with a kayak? If the photo at 11:39 was just below the shelter by the lake, it looks pretty marshy. Would not be a great spot to land a boat.
I swear, my list of places I want to explore seems to grow more than it shrinks. I need to get out more to check things off my list and spend less time looking into different places because I always end up finding somewhere new I want to go.

So many trails. So little time. Right there with ya, brother. This is a nice lil off the radar loop - the shelters are awesome. I don’t see why you couldn’t roll up to one in a kayak.
