That was the best worst road trip ever and I loved every minute of it! The dashboard of the Jag ended up in Ohio. We stopped at The Signpost Forest on our way up to the Arctic Ocean last year and talked to this couple who had gone to our cliff launch in ‘22 and their kid hauled the dash all the way home to hang it on his bedroom wall!
@@AE86Matt So you mean to tell me the Jag literally "split in half"? 😁👍 Yeah he's a very good story teller for sure though. And sounds like you have a fun job!
@@UberLummox yes it did split in half. Tore the engine out and left it next to the pond. We found the transmission 200’ up the cliff where the first impact was. Go watch 1320s video on it if you don’t believe me.
The *only* thing that could possibly steal the thunder, and wrench the limelight away from Ed Bolian's Red Dragon Bugatti, is an *EPIC* international road trip adventure from John Ficarra. RIP, Shaguar 🥲
Easily one of the greatest road trips of my life, awesome people doing crazy stuff! Following the Jag through Canada was epic, the toughness of the journey added to it all somehow. How can we top this one?
I remember watching this. That was one hell of a journey. Had me wondering if you guys were going to even make it there at all. But it did pay off in the end. That was one wild ride.
Having done that trip 4 times, the Muncho lake part truly is spectacular. Words and pictures don't do the entire trip justice. I highly recommend doing it if you are considering!
This might be my favorite VinWiki. It’s close. My best friend and I watch the glacier view highlights every 4th. It’s the most American thing ever. It’s a dream of mine to drive up for it one year. Maybe when I get a new pickup we’ll try it.
If you count all the people livestreaming the event now a days, it's more like half the country is the there, with the other half watching the recordings later.
Ed, please recruit John for more stories in the future. John, Randy Pobst and Ben Collins get the clicks.. Haven’t seen Tanner Foust yet, still holding out hope..
I rode my motorcycle up the alcan when the road was washed out. They ended up building a quick one way detour up the side of the mountain to bypass the washout. Your detour through the Cassiar Highway was crazy long, but damn it's still beautiful.
Big whoop. I've driven between Southern California and Anchorage, Alaska twelve times. Some trips towing, some in the winter, some towing in the winter. Six days total. You just have to plan things out and allow extra time for unforeseen situations. Beautiful and relaxing drive. BTW, the Alcan starts in Dawson Creek, not Fort Nelson.
I wanna take my car to Canada so bad. It’s a 1981 vw rabbit pickup lifted with a mechanical tdi swap. It gets 55- 75mpg 14 gallon tank. Should be able to explore. Might need a few clutch cables 😂😅

LOL at $1,000 per car. Renting a small helicopter is more than $1k per hour. The kind of heli that can lift a car is going to be $10K per hour. Positioning a heli like that is going to costs thousands.
I know so much about America as a Canadian but Americans lack of knowledge about one of their closest allies is hilarious! Good job US education system

Hearing people’s small town Canada stories always makes me so much happier than big city stories. Small town Canada is where it’s at
This man’s stories are phenomenal
And this is one of his best! Awesome stuff!
No one tells a story like John!!! Keep them coming.
I have heard a lot of stories in my life, but no one comes close to John Ficarra. How can he do that so well?
The better story tellers have to have elements of bullsh!t & exaggeration, that's one way.
