Congrats on paying off your student loans in one year that's amazing. it would have been a whole lot easier if the Liberals had not jacked up the cost of education at the tune of over 6.1% per year on average since 1983 when I started. No I paid 1675 a credit hour. our cost of living has not increased at 6.1% in any year that I have been alive and I am 54 years old

Yes it is,drivers never get tips and have to deliver under pressure,i got a delivery once,and i was 17 minutes away,and i was supposed to deliver it within 12 minutes,i declined the order and my acceptance rate went down...And tgats something else,my acceptance goes down one point right after declining a delivery,or even if their freaking app fails to work properly,your acceptance rate goes down.i had never seen a company that sucks so much and fight its own employess
Daniel 00 no you won’t that’s the negative, unless your in a high demand area you will make more money with a car because if you in a slow or medium demand area you will lower all your chances of getting a order
I assume that I'm just in a good area to work in. I ALWAYS dash in the evenings when it is bright red. Also, i ONLY work during the boost times where in my area i get an extra $4 per delivery. I don't drive further than 7 miles TOTAL per delivery cause then it is just not worth it for me.
I Dashed today for the first time since July and it was actually pretty good. $3 extra per deliveries for lunch which i cant complain about. It just seemed like you have to wait longer for deliveries and they have you go further than Postmates does
It's true..I just started dashing last week. It's definitely not worth driving further than 15 miles for small orders ($10-$15). Burns the sh** out of your gas. I do look at the positive side. The hours are flexible. You can start and end when you like. Don't have to deal with shitty managements. I make about $65 bucks in 3 hr. That's $21 plus an hr.
..remember too (most of time doordash neglects to tell us..) ..that since we’re independent contractors we can write off netflix, cell phone, gas, car insurance bills on our year end taxes😉 keep those receipts & keep track of your mileage!! (especially since we’re putting wear & tear on our vehicles from miles)
I definitely see what you mean. I've been dashing for 3 weeks now and im seeing more quality results from declining a lot of the low ball paying offers. Latley ive been declining $3 jobs and most jobs not matching the mileage. A lot of times the next offer is a more quality order.
the dashers eat the food of the costumer..... as an agent i can told you a lot of people out there is having issues with the dashers and also with the merchants

it's irritating when i have to place the order at a restaurant. fast food i understand but when dd makes me place the order in person it is a time killer and i try to hit 2 orders per hour. Fast food generally pays 7 to 8 per trip on average. I am in Phoenix so it varies by market
I agree fast food is so annoying. I wish DoorDash had technology that would notify the fast food joint when we are close so they can start making it so it's ready when we arrive

As soon as I hear 15 minutes plus and I'm already running behind on the "Delivery Time". I'll contact Dash and only text the words "Call Me" then I get called and I refuse and choose to unassign, no wiggle room. Waiting is not part of the job it's called "DoorDash" not "RestaurantSit"...

Found out my comment didn't publish but yes I'm pretty sure I have at a rate lower than 70% and was still able to dash. i'll test that theory. I'm at 71% right now but my first couple of months i know it was pretty low

That's what I've been told. I tried applying as a delivery driver for grubhub but unfortunately they're not accepting new drivers in my area at the moment.

It depends if some one has a order worth 10 dollars they are not going to pay you more or half what the order value, so 1-3 bucks is pretty much what you are looking unless you do get someone willing to pay over but that is a unicorn order with doordash. now if you have a order like 30-40 bucks you can easy see $5-15+ tip because these are most likely group orders and you will see bigger tips.

Doordash is ripping its drivers off. I tipped a driver $5 on the app and he said his payout was only $6 total!

That's because door dash only pays 1.00 plus 100 percent of customer tip...that's it
EXPERT TIP : GET A BIKE OR SET UR VEHICLE AS A BIKE. THEY WILL NOT SEND YOU FAR AND YOU STILL MAKE A BUNCH OF MONEY. ( wow sorry for the caps )

7 miles is kind of a stretch not unless someone is ordering multiple meals

Seems like your in a busy market. I average around $12 and hour where I am. It's slowed down so much i had to start doing the small orders

Yeah you just have to be smart about it. I do Postmates and DoorDash together now. Postmates seems to not send you as far

When I would dash a lot of the time towards the end of the session it would ask if I wanted extend my dash so I could stay on longer

Idk, I'd say it varies. I had a $9 Starbucks delivery in the morning and made $12 off just that.
Now DoorDash pays you for your effort. If you had to place the order or drive far the company will pay you for it

If it's dark red or a lighter color red yes you can. When you see "Dash Now" up at the top and it will tell your the areas that needs dashers
I got a dash that was 3 miles away and made $5. They offered me a dash that was 12 miles and the payout was 5.52.
