The South African cricket board was left bankrupt due to bad management, seems now it is the Comrades Marathon. For to long South Africans had an ostrich mentality and hoped things will improve over time. If people don’t get involved you will loose what is dear to you.
Taking something that works and transforming it into something that doesn’t, all in the name of transformation is the story of South Africa., were incompetence is cherished.
Another thing brought upon by the real true runners of this event, only for it to be appropriated by those who’ve built nothing but only know how to destroy what others have built. Surprised?
Thanks for bringing this information to our attention. Please involve Minister Gayton McKenzie. We all know that he hates corruption plus he is the relevant man to deal with this kind of challenges. I believe he will make the clean up process short and thorough. Of course working together with all concerned including the Comrades Marathon lovers.
I was looking forward to my younger sister coming to SA to do the comrades at the age of 52,then covid came along, and since then she won't visit Sa because of the crime,she has been here from Scotland 4 times in the last 30 years.
It's incredibly sad that this National Treasure could be tarnished by a bunch of seemingly inept people who clearly have little interest in maintaining this wonderful race! As a keen runner who did my back-to-back this year, I only hope we're able to protect Comrades from becoming another vehicle for pocket lining. Well done Stuart and thank you Alex. I'm looking forward to a fantastic, politics free run next year :)
Same thing has happened in Water Polo - we have Swimming SA who have captured our sport and refuses to allow normal water polo people to run it. They appoint their cadres to positions like National Team Managers and these people travel free at the cost of the players (who are already paying between 80k and 150k a year to represent their country. Getting them out is impossible as they ignore their own rules, they have executive members voting to retain each other and the Gravy Train runs on. They refuse to have an open honest transparent discussion ON THE RECORD and then simply ban anyone who exposes their nefarious activities (usually calling them racist). Time for the players to stand up and stop this - the players (and parents) are the enablers who keep the system running.
It’s so sad that a great institution like Comrades can be destroyed by a handful of people who only have have their own interests at heart - pure greed and we have been watching it for the past 30 years destroying our country. Why not rather put energies into the building or improving of things for the betterment of all.
I think a lot of this has to do with Race...Greed and Self-interests...Is what Race is, by asking itself of what colour toilet paper is, after having to wipe up all the crap in the Whole Wide World.😅😅😂🤣.

Our new GM has recruited as many vanilla people as possible, and as it stands we have close to 400 new members (all vanilla) who have joined and want to attend [the] AGM in November to take back the CMA board to be whites-only.”
